Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

We are having a small wedding of about 20-25 people so I am thinking of doing our reception with a long table and then putting vases down the middle with our bouquets in them so save on $$. Does anyone have pics of vases we can rent?

Also I will prob either rent or buy a table runner and chair bows and then put a bunch of candles and crystals or seashells around the vases.

Hey Ladies- one of my bridesmaids mothers is doing our invitations for us :) I am trying to get them out ASAP... I wanted to ask all of you- who have already done them and are in the process an IMPT. ?? Are you doing anything special with your invitations? I am just wondering as well, destination weddings are not like at home weddings, so do we need to add things in them? I am going to put a little note card or something saying "Look for details for a Welcome Home Party to follow" (or something) as we will be having a welcome home party a couple weeks after for all the family and friends who could not attend. But in addition to the standard invitation and response card... what else are you guys doing??

My invitations included the formal invitation, an insert for the Mexico reception and also an insert for the Chicago party. The response card then allows them to RSVP to both, one or none of the parties. This is just saving me the hassel of mailing out a bunch of different invitations. I will be posting my invitations soon! I am also mailing out seperate invitations for our party in Chicago for those who are invited only to that party, and not to Mexico (friends of parents, distant relatives, acquaintances, ect).

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
