I think at thihs point, for me it's more a want than a need.....

I think the additional $$ for the beach set-up is if you would like additional colors added to the arch and what not.  If you do your ceremony on the beach it comes with the arch as well as the white fabric to drape on it.  Therefore, if you are ok with the white you don't have to budget additional costs in.

Thanks! I've emailed Yamina to use it. I'll have to see if she winds up charging me.

Question about rooms??? What room layout do you recommend? Amanda, I see that you stayed in the Preferred Ocean Club view, was this nice? What floor do you recommend? Also, I have to provide room recommendations for my guests, do you have any suggestions?

I think the pictures cost as much as the wedding would have and thats all we paid for. We just went to dinner right at 6 as a group and had Yamina bring the cake there so we didnt have to pay extra. My sister braided my hair and I did the rest.

Thank you for the kind words.

I don't think this has ever been brought up on here and only those of you who've actually had your wedding already may be the only ones to answer this...

I've noticed that every price that Eva has given me is $$$ + tax. I just looked up the tax rate in Mexico and it's 16%!!!!

Is every price they give us and quote us subject to this 16% tax?? That adds so much more money that we weren't expecting to spend!

Our tax rate here in Texas is 8.25% so 16% seems extremely steep!!!

Hi Amanda, i thought i saw you when we were down there we were at the restaurant when you were doing your reception! I wanted to say hi, but wasnt sure if it was you!

Yamina said they dont normally do that but it was no big deal. They ended up sitting us in these big king/queen chairs and we also had them bring the cake there. By the way the cake for 10 people is tiny and we ordered marble and I didnt care for it. El Patio was my favorite and second Oceana. El Patio is a fun atmosphere and will be good for a reception. Oceana had the best steak! I dont mind answering questions at all. Im sad our trip is over. Id love to do it all over again.

Every price that they have given me has an 11% tax to it. I think that is so high

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
