rtownsend - do you know if they are the white bamboo chairs or that bronze color?   I havent gotten a response yet re: the white garden chairs but some else mentioned they were using those for the ceremony at no charge

Did you change into a different dress?  When did you make an appearance again, when the DJ announce you guys or did you just come out once you were done getting dolled up?

Thanks:)

Hello TigerLily,

Yes I will be using DJ Molina, I've read many wonderful reviews about him on this thread.  I need to give him a list of songs which I haven't been able to compile just yet.

I am thinking about getting the light up dance floor but not quite sure yet, are you going to get the light up dance floor?

As far as photography, I will be using Anel from Adventura and I am also flying a friend in from New York.  He took pictures at my sister's wedding and it was beautiful and very artsy.

:)

Waiting for her to respond. Hopefully she gets back to me soon- I'm trying to check DJ and photography off my "list" asap so I don't have to worry about them.

Were you able to book DJ Julian or did you decide on someone else? Who are you using for photography? I might use Adventure Photos but I emailed a bunch of people to get prices (Ivan Luckie, Del Sol, La Luna, Elizabeth Medina). All wonderful photographers, but 3 to 4X more $$ than Adventure, so we'll see... pictures are so important tho

The bronze chairs are an extra charge ... the free options are either the white garden chairs or the banquet chairs that are covered with white seat covers ....

I really liked the bamboo looking chairs, but the extra cost wasn't worth it for me ...

We flew our photographer in from Canada (Newfoundland to be specific). His name is Chris Crockwell ... he has a website you could check out.

He was awesome and great to work with ... and for the work that he does while he is away, he is well worth the cost that he charges!

Hi there,

I got the guys shirts from an outlet store at Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, called Mexx.

They were on sale (Clearance actually) so I got lucky that they had my colour there and all of the sizes worked out for our guys.

Your wedding pictures are so beautiful.  I love your wedding dress and everything about your wedding, it's looks absolutely perfect.  By the way, I just wanted to ask you where you bought the grooms' men shirts b/c my colors are sage and orange and I adore those shirts.  Thanks to you, I have ordered the pashimi scarves for the women as well.

Thank you Thank you sooo much for sharing:)

Hi there,

I did not have to pay extra for my bouquet. I paid $70 for each additional bouquet that I got for each of my bridesmaids though. I sent Ana a picture via email a few weeks before the wedding so that she knew what I wanted my bouquet to look like and she did a great job of making it a reality! I didn't like many of the options that the resort had either, which is why it might be easier to just find a google image and send it to them!

They'll do a great job!

I was wondering did you have to pay extra for your bouquet? Was that considered an upgrade in flowers? My wedding colors are very similar to yours and i haven't really liked any of the pictures of flowers the resort has sent. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi there,

I got enough for the ceremony, and they will move the chairs and/or the bows to the reception after. I got the chair bows, table runners, table overlays and napkins from http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/

I was a little weary about ordering them online without seeing the quality and everything, but they turned out to be perfect. compact and cheap! I couldn't ask for much more!

Thank you!!

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
