Is she booking flight and resort?  Did you get a good deal??

I'm May 9th.

She did get us a good deal and arranges for both flight and accommodations and works with all of the tour operators both American and Canadian to make sure we get the best price...they are great at delivering on price. She's very easy to get ahold of and gets back to me quickly. I'm very happy with her service so far. My wedding is May 9th 2011, so not too far away :-) Can't wait! Good luck with your planning!

2011 May brides,  have you booked your airfare yet?

I'm flying out of Philly and before the holidays the airfare was around $550 and I thought that was too much for a flight to Mexico and I figured the prices would drop.  Well, the prices are now up to $606 for a direct flight.

Should I wait to see if they drop or just get the tickets now?

The package includes drinks, cocktail hour, reception for up to 20 people and anything over 20....they charge you about $100/head for drinks, c. hour and reception.

The lobby bar is a great place for people to gather for drinks.  If I were you, I'd skip the cocktail hour and tell everyone to gather in the lobby.  As long as you have everything well planned and organized, and everyone knows what is going on, I think you would be fine doing it this way!  And you'd save a good amount of money.

Ok thanks, I didnt know the package included 3 hrs of drinks?? Either way its definetly better than drinks not being included at all.

How many hours have past brides done for their reception??  We were thinking four then head over to Desires...??

Maybe some past brides can give us some insight??  I'm guessing we will have waiters assigned to our parties asking what drinks guests want..I'm sure it will be fine!!

Cant we just walk into the bar in the hotel and get a drink anyway? (my FI's question)

I've heard a lot of Brides do that - have their guests book their flights.  I'm torn on which way to do it.  Do you know if they got good deals?

That is awesome!  I did start to use them but I felt the TA was pushing for a Karisma Resort and I was totally turned off.  Then we decided to use a friend's Father-In-Law..I'm still not very sold.  I might email Apple Vacations directly and see what I can get from them - can't hurt!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
