Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Ladies.. I am here!!! If there is any way i can put any of your minds at ease then this post is worth it. I had every worry imaginable for the past year about this trip and the wedding. When we stepped foot on the property here we were amazed..truly blown away! Everyone we came in contact with has been extremely nice and offering their help with anything you need.We are in a honeymoon suite at the very south edge of the propery, right out over the palapas- its very quiet and private (even on the outdoor terrace with the hot tub-which we used last night and it was awesome!) the view is absolutely outstanding..the beds are comfortable.. and we had the BEST sleep of our lives..sounds of the waves crashing in and the breeze at night. they are at 55% capacity right now...we havnt waited long for anything yet. We met with veronica our coordinator, and after having had 3 coordinators throughout the last 7 months and everything getting messed up' the meeting went great. The email correspondance was poor at best, and the they were always cold and to the point with their e-mails' almost not personable at all but when we got here and met face to face..she was awesome..professional...extrememly organized- had all our stuff in her files.. and genuinely seemed to care about us having a great trip and wedding. The wedding is tomorrow, so i cant wait to see how it all plays out..hopefully as well as it has been so far. Weve visited the spa, the beach, the pool, the world cafe, seaside grill, the lobby bar, saw two other weddings and receptions and a bunch of stuff...we have yet to be disappointed with anything yet. Its amazing here.. cant think of a better place to have your destination wedding! try to worry less all of you future brides.. if at all possible... i think you will love it!!!

Hello Brides!!  We just got back from our site visit..we stayed at NOW Sapphire and visited DRC and Secrets Silversands!  Without a DOUBT our choice is DRC!!  This resort is amazing..Ana is our WC - and I can't say enough about her already!  The property is beautiful..the rooms are amazing!!  We are very excited to have finally chosen a Wedding Venue!! 

 

We will be a 2012 wedding!!

To those of you who packed parasols..did you have any problems getting them down there?  What size did you use?  My BM's will be carrying parasols instead of flowers...

put the parasols in a hard cover suitcase and you will be fine!!!!

i sent you info to your mailbox!!  You will have a gorgeous wedding.. honestly the one thing i would have done over is not freak out about communication.. its almost pointless because you will have to go over all the info when you get there. If they promised you anything have it in writing and bring all documentation.  The hotel is gorgeous, bt they are a bit disorganized..  be prepared!!!!

PBJwed, I LOVED your wedding- everything was beautiful! The furniture on the sand for cocktail hour was amazing. Did you contact EW Cancun yourself or did you go through the resort? I sent them an email asking for a price list but they said they work with the hotel coordinator or they could give me a price if I had a specific idea in mind. Any advice you could give me would be helpful!

Past DRC Brides..have any of you had your wedding reception on the beach terrace??  Any pictures??
