Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Yes they have a business center that you can use - several computers and printers available.

Also - Gabriela likes to have almost everything finalized two weeks before your wedding.  My wedding is 10 days away and she and I have been emailing back and forth all day today - she gets back to me within minutes.  I had already picked the menu and locations, so today we discussed the number of guests, the tables, the flower choices and the decor (which I'm using Deco Cancun for and she has a copy of the proposal from them). She likes to do this so our meeting once we're there will be shorter.

I understand everyone is frustrated, but I can honestly tell you she's totally on top of it and I'm not worried at all. Over the last two weeks she's gotten back to me pretty quickly about everything and again, today she was emailing me back within minutes. Hang in there ladies!

What are you ladies doing for a rehearsal dinner and welcome cocktails? I want something informal and I thought I could just have dinner at one of the restaurants (there's about 30 of us), but I was told I'd have to pay at least $12 (plus tax and gratuity) for dinner. I don't want a private dinner, just a group in the same restaurant... Didn't think I'd have to pay for a dinner at an all-inclusive resort!

The resort photographers are great - several ladies have used them and posted links - also on the facebook page some ladies have posted their slideshows.  We fell in love with Elizabeth Medina's work and really wanted to use her - but I think the resort photographers do a great job and if it's not in your budge to hire someone else, you'll be just fine using them!

It depends on what you want, not only in terms of quality but in terms of quantity! If you want just a few pics the resort photogs will save you money. But if you want lots, and want the images on CD/DVD then you may want to consider looking elsewhere. Not because the resort photogs will necessarily be more expensive, but certainly it's not as cheap as you think! Sure you might get 50 photos included but what you don't realize is that if you want more than that it's another 10 or 15 dollars per picture! Plus even more if you want the digital negatives. An outside photog may cost you more upfront, but they include hundreds or even thousands of photos (depending on how much time you book, of course) and all your digital negatives. Just something to think about.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
