What im trying to get from Ana is that if we use the wine cellar for our reception...guests will just order off the restaraunt menu ( and its included in the all inclusive price) so guests souldnt have to pay any extra for food and drinks... and just me and the fiance buy a few bottles of the upgraded wine? She's not really answering my question with this...

Hi. My wedding is Jan 2011. At first she would e-mail and say she was "holding" my date. Then I emailed back and stated firmly that i want to know our date is secured! She finally sent me the charge authorization document in an e-mail for the deposit- i filled it all out and sent it back- online as attatchment and faxed it 3 times. I got no response for about a week. Then she said "ok all is good, will process your deposit on your charge card today!" well that was a week ago and it still isnt showing up on my card statement =(

I just hope this all works out for us in the end ladies!! I'm kind of stressing =(

If you got the charge authorization and all you should be good - she doesn't communicate with you very well - but i heard she comes thru in the end - hang in there and yes this is stressful - but it will all be worth it in the end!!

Ladies..just want to warn you that this could be deceptive with the kids being free... we have one child age 6 in our small group and when talking to travel agent she stated she spoke with the resort and they say kids are only free if you have more than 2 kids traveling. This discount doesnt apply if its one child. =( The 6 year old will be costing over 900$ for 4 nights. =(

I just need to vent for a minute too. Ana said the pool deck isn't available for our reception. I don't want it on the beach. I'm just kind of bummed because I feel like maybe if she had gotten back to me over a month ago when I first emailed her we could have gotten the reception where we wanted it, maybe not though. I just can't see paying all this money and then not having the big things the way you want. I can see some small things maybe not going so smoothly but the reception location is a big deal to me. I emailed her to see what other options besides the beach were available. Now just waiting to hear. sad.gif
The same thing is going on with me. Where are you going to select for your reception. She gave me the El Patio and Portofino options.

Thanks!
Ana just sent me the script today. I wasn't sure if I was going to put my own together or use theirs. I will email it to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
