Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Hi everyone,

 

trying to avoid having to add to Ana's workload as my weddings far off yet so does anyone know the following;

 

*Is it extra to have one long table rather than small round ones?

 

*Is there a fee to pay for outside photographer?

 

*Can we use the included photographer for engagement pictures the day before?

I am getting super frustrated because the communication with this resort SUCKS!!! My wedding is in about two months and you would think they could respond to an email. I don't care how busy Ana is or how many weddings they have booked, they are a resort and they are providing a service, so they need to hire more people to match the demand!!!! (Sorry... I am just tired of being nice about it because it is sooooooo frustrating!!!)

I totally understand your frustration as most others do also. Will you let us know if you do get to use Juan? While Adventure may be nice I prefer Juan, but because I didn't already request him I guess I am SOL. I will cross my fingers for you though!

To bring in an outside photographer you don't have to pay a vendor fee just buy a day pass for them. However if they stay at the hotel you don't need the pass. Hope that helps! I'm not sure about using the resort photographer for engagement pictures before, I thought about maybe asking them to do a TTD or something. We'll see.

Me and another bride are splitting an order but we can add to it. We are doing statium cups with a "Dreams Riviera Cancun 2010" and a tropical logo. The man is designing a few options for us right now and I can email them to you when I get it if you are interested. I read the reviews that said alot of people didn't use them at the resorts but for the price I figured it was a good item they could take home and re-use and a cute souvenir. I mean who couldn't use extra cups?
I might be interested in going in on bags if they were a good price. I'm trying to stay within $3-$5 for the bags and I figured the closer we get to fall, the more they will be clearanced.

Before I booked I told Ana I wouldn't book unless I could have Elizabeth Medina and she responded telling me she'd make that "exception" for me. Then I told her I'd use the hotel's photographer for the welcome dinner which she said she was fine with. My advice to you is to make sure you keep the email from her that says you can have Juan and hold her to it...maybe you should contact Juan too just to be sure?

I know how you feel! After waiting 2 weeks for an answer to my questions, Ana emailed me back to let me know that she has received my email and will get back to me. That makes me so frustrated!!!!!!!!

 

My wedding is exactly 2 months from today, it would be nice to get some prompt and clear answers since the wedding is coming up very soon.
