Okay my wedding is May 21 2010 and all I have done is confirmed my date and time. I told her also where I would like my wedding and reception to take place. Is this all I need to do before I get there? I would like to have everything else confirmed and went over before I get to Mexico. But I have sent her multiple emails and no answer. I know she is busy. But is this all I need to have done and then pick everything else out two days before the wedding? Sounds stressful. Is this the right email for her [email protected]?

Poor sight {{{HUGS}}} - yes that is the same email addy that I have. I can't even imagine. Our wedding is still a year off so I guess I just roll with the punches. I can definitely see why you'd be concerned though. From everything I hear - everything you said is pretty much dead on and although it does sound stressful, since the wedding are pretty much "pre-packaged" - it really does only take a sit-down for an hour or two to confirm your stuff and they make it happen. I guess for us its one day but for them its their everyday. Hopefully she gets back to you soon though. Try not to worry. I have my date confirmed, NO time and am still waiting for a wedding contract that I queried easily over a month ago now :-s

He then told me they could go out of Puerto Morelos but that if the water is too rough they would have to cancel (too much of a risk for me). I just wanted to let you know about another company I found in Cancun. It is Marina Cancun and the sunset sail is $275 an hour for 3 hours. This INCLUDES open bar. They can also provide transportation for $350. My quote is based on 40 people, but they were by far the best price!
we decided to make the trip to puerto adventuras... i suppose i should have looked into this further! i did put my deposit down, but i am definitely going to look into Marina Cancun- do they have a website? i must be overlooking it because i couldnt find it for some reason! i think paradise catamarans will refund my money, but cross your fingers for me. i need to save all the money i can!!!

PBJWed - no problem. I booked for 30 guests, and includes snorkeling and sunset cruise. We leave at 3 from the hotel and get back at 8:30. That includes an hour sail to the reef, snorkeling, dinner and sunset cruise back. Private chef prepares steak and lobster and we have open bar the whole time. The cost is $2,700. I'm sure I overpaid ... but it's my only daughter! They've been great to work with!

regarding the honeymoon package- i wanted to make sure we would get that also, since we are staying in the honeymoon suite for 7 nights... and this is what she said-
IN ORDER TO GET THE ETERNITY HONEYMOON PACKAGE AS A COMPLEMENTARY THE GROOM AND BRIDE MUST TO STAY IN A PREFFERED CLUB OCEAN VIEW ROOM CATEGORY FOR A MINIMUM OF 7 NIGHTS

so im confused, is she telling me that we will or will not get the honeymoon package? the preferred club honeymoon suite is of greater value than a preferred club ocean view right? sometimes i think she really thinks she is answering questions, but really she talks in circles.
The honeymoon suite is a higher category room so I would think that you should definitely get the package for free! Just make sure that you talk to the concierge the first day you get there to schedule some of the things in the package (private dinner, breakfast in bed, etc.) We didn't realize that we had to do that until we were there for a couple of days. They also won't automatically send the flowers and champagne to your room unless you talk to the concierge first. The honeymoon package was great! We had so much fun with it :)

Don't worry about it Megan! What you have done is all that you need to do before you go. I would make a list for yourself of everything that you want to talk to Ana about when you meet with her though...menus, flowers, extra decorations, music (if you are using sound system), etc. This way, when you meet with her, you will be very organized and get all of your questions answered. I didn't write this stuff down and there were things that I forgot when I met with her. Oh, and if you have any of your own decorations, favors, etc. you should bring them with you to give to Ana when you meet with her and write down for her exactly what you want done with them. Also, she will take you around and show you the options for ceremony sites and reception/cocktail hour sites if you haven't totally decided on a location for something. I finalized all of my details with her once I got there, not before. Hope this helps!

Has anyone else gotten an automated e-mail respons back when trying to e-mail the above address? I got a message indicating Ana's new e-mail address is: [email protected]
However, I've tried to e-mail her at both addresses and haven't gotten any response. So - can someone who has recently heard from Ana via e-mail confirm her most current e-mail addresshuh.gif? Thanks in advance.

I haven't gotten a response back yet (which sounds like the norm), but it wasn't bounced back to me. Don't know if this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
