Even our travel agent contacted her resort rep who contacted other people at the resort and still nothing. Then, at 3 months to the day we got an email of a wedding packet (most of which we already had) and it assigned us our planner Georgina.

Great I thought! Finally! Well.. no such luck. Our confirmation has the time off and also a charge for the Seaside Grill which is not on our original confirmation, So I sent Georgina an email... nothing. My fiance emailed her... nothing. We both have emailed the DJ... nothing. I emailed the spa... nothing. We are 10 weeks out and we have nothing, literally nothing, but the trip booked and times and locations (which are not 100% right).

I quickly realized that the packet email we got was received 3 months to the very date of our wedding and it is probably something automatically generated. We started emailing beginning of April and have heard nothing ever again. In fact I have not hear anything since we left our deposit.

I am now going to begin calling and I am so out of mind angry at this resort it is not even funny. I haven't even gotten there yet and I don't think I could recommend this place to anyone due to the horrible horrible horrible planning. I am a second time bride. Honestly, I am not obsessed or emailing them over paper lanterns or cake flowers... I know that stuff can be worked out there. But my reception time being wrong..? Charges I didnt know about? A DJ that is not answering? Hair/Makeup appts I cant get made? I have truly had it. It is ruining this whole experience for me.

I had the same problem with seaside but i printed all my emails and gave it to Lorena and refused to pay anything additional since I booked it over a year ago and she didn't charge me but they are now charging everyone for seaside girll... just show her your emails

Anyway I'm pretty laid back and this process has been great vs trying to do an at home wedding.  This forum has helped me with a lot of decisions of my wedding and I want to thank all the past brides who have posted their experience.  I will post a review when I return, I will be there for 10 days so I may see a few more brides.

Have a fabulous time, fellow NJ bride!!!  You will love every second of it!  Congratulations!

I'm really sorry to hear that!!  We had such a great time there almost a year before you.  I know many brides have probably reassured you that it will be fine once you get there, you can dispute charges and usually they try to compensate.  I suggest calling the resort.  It's a pricy call but worth it because someone always answers the phone.  Try not to worry!  Once you are there you feel like royalty!

if I get there and decide I prefer the beach to the gazebo can I change my mind? I want to most private located out of the two? also were is best for the cocktail hour and reception, I was thinking of having the reception on the beach, with the dance floor etc? anyone got any tips for picking these?

It depends on if it's booked or not. Sometimes they can do multiple weddings a day so it could be booked on your day - especially in March. When we were there in December there were 3 weddings going on at the same time and there were 2 more earlier in the day. So, it all depends on what other brides there are that day.

The south beach is the most private for the ceremony. The gazebo isn't private but honestly, I didn't notice at all. The beach isn't private either, but it's the most private out of the locations. People can still walk down the beach in front of and behind your set up and be in pictures.

We had our reception on the pool deck and if you have enough people, I think this is the best option!

Hey ladies!

Do y'all remember my wedding video from StoryMix? Well the company is giving away a $300 credit to use on any of their services on my blog!
Here is the link to the blog post where you can enter:
It's really easy!

Here is the link to our StoryMix Trailer if you want to see it:

They have a special destination wedding theme or you can pick one of there others. I was really pleased with StoryMix because we got all 10 days on camera, not just the few hours of the wedding. Our real video is an hour long and we got to pick which footage we wanted.
You can see our full hour long video here:

Hope you all will enter :)

Hi everyone,  We had Santiago as our photographer for our wedding on April 18.  He was fantastic!  I don't have our slideshow yet, but I think you should be able to see our photos using this link:

Just thought I'd share them in case it helps anyone at all!  I know I looked at Savannah's album about 100 times as I was planning our wedding.

Nice post!A recent ruling in Brazil is once again bringing the political theater of concept of matrimony to the front - and conservatives in the South American country are up in arms. BBC News reports that a notary in Sao Paulo has recognized a civil union between three people - two ladies and one male. According to Public Notary Claudia do Nascimento Domingues, the group of three has lived together long enough to warrant family rights, and Brazilian regulation has nothing that prohibits such an arrangement. A personal finance can help you pay the fees at your wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
