Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I've been reading through all of the posts. I see a lot of people are frustated about the turn around time from the wedding coordinators. I went through this same frustration as well. I started my planning almost a year and a half ago. Rest assured as your wedding gets closer (probably 4-5months out) the responses become a lot quicker! Also, I noticed that when I copy my travel agent on the emails the response is much quicker!

I also mentioned to Ana that I've read a lot of complaints regarding the privacy of the ceremony. She assured me that they are aware of this issue and are working to have this resolved. I'm just hoping its resolved very soon.

I've also noticed the inconsistency of the pricing. There have been several occasions where I have asked for a price and then a few weeks later I get a different price. This is why it is so important to keep all of your emails from her.

Before you get all fired up about pricing . . . read the fine print. There are often service fees on TOP of the prices listed in the pricing guide. So while it may say $300, and Ana quotes you $330, that would be the price with the service fees included. Although I still think their prices are high

Hola Girls,

First to all congratulations to all of you.

I Just want to post a quick note regarding our services at Dreams Riviera Cancun.

Since we are now a prefered DJ company for Dreams Cancun, as many others Hotels they have their policies and we have to respect them.

All the requests for our services, quotation and prices has to be done through them, please ask to your WC, because if you book our service directly with us we will not be allowed to give you the service in Dreams Riviera Cancun.

For the requests that I already have received and are confirmed with deposit, the Hotel will honor the quotation that you get from us, and we will be allowed to give you the service, but we (Doremixx) have to pay a fee to the Hotel.

We really appreciate you interest in our services.

Best,

Hey ladies sorry I have been kind of MIA. I was so busy with the holidays and now getting ready for my son's birthday.

Anyways I have asked Ana to send me pictures of the cakes, flowers, and anything else that I need to pick out that comes with the love package. I have not heard from her yet.

A while back she sent me a email with all the different cakes and flowers. But I was not sure which ones are included in the love package. Anyone else getting this package and know the answer to this?

Also I plan on just bringing a ipod and bringing my own speaker. Does anyone know what you can do for music for walking down the aisle? Can you hook up your speaker and ipod for that or is their music included in the love package for the ceremony.

Happy wedding planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
