Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! So I got my save the dates yesterday! I can't wait to mail them out they're super cute!

Did y'all get a chance to check out the new pictures on facebook?

I went with the middle package - but we have 140 people on the guest list and I was told by my TA and by a friend who grew up in Mexico and got married at a dreams resort recently that for a group more than 40 it's cheaper to do the middle package and add on the extras. I would think that for a smaller group the free wedding package would work out best.

I still haven't heard from Ana about a deposit yet...I'm going to email her tomorrow.

Sorry girls I have not been on much. My son got sick and I was taking care of him all week.

Excited to see all of the brides booking at the resort. I have not booked my wedding package yet. But like some have said. I am also going to go with the middle package and just add on extra's.

As for the goody bags for guest. I was thinking about getting a labeled koozie. You can have your beers cold by the pool. I also was thinking about getting some just plan t shirts and do some bedazzling for my bridesmaids. I might even find some cheap swimsuits and put bridesmaids on the bottom. I am ready for all of that fun stuff to come up. I am tired of all the booking rooms and wedding package stuff.

But good news we are going to get our engagement pictures done this weekend. Lots hope for no rain!!

We decided to go with Dreams, right now I am just waiting for a confirmation for my date!

Were you able to get any photos of the reception sites? Where did you decide to have your reception site? How did thr gazebo look in person?

Hi, can I ask what package you girls think I would be best opting for?? We will have 14 guests so 16 inc OH and I. We will all be staying at the hotel so would qualify for the free package. However, I want to have a photographer, cocktails and dinner after the ceremony.

I wish to get married on the beach rather than gazebo. I asked Ana that If I went with the ultimate package would decoration for the arch be included rather than decoration for the gazebo and she said no sad.gif

I did get a few photos- let me figure out how to post them, or you can send me your email and I can sent them to you. I think we are going to do a cocktail hour around the jacuzzi area, and then a dinner, still not sure about a big "reception". I know alot of people don't like the wedding gazebo, but I actaully did, I think it looks really nice and won't need a lot of decorations.

congrats to all the new brides that have booked at DRC. It is going to be a very exciting year for all of us. And the photos on FB have been great to see! Makes me even more excited and my guests as well.

We invited almost 140 guests but have already heard that some will not be able to make it. Too bad. We started with the basic package right now, primarily because of the deposit amount and we know that the package choice can be changed closer to the date of the wedding. Since we are unsure how many guests we will have it is hard to know what wedding package will be best. We are assuming we will do the middle package as well but you just never know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
