I feel like the gazebo looks a bit like something you'd see in sci-fi spacey stuff. Can't wait to see pics from all the brides getting married there now/soon. I have plenty of time to decide on a resort, but would love to just pick one ASAP. Hoping the on beach arch (or however they will do it) looks a little less... futuristic?

Has anyone decided on a package yet? I don't know what to do about them. I am leaning towards the free package and customizing what I need but I am worried that the cost will add up VERY quickly. I do not want to select a package because there is so much I do not need that comes with it (hairstyling, photography, toasting flutes....). I asked Ana if they can substitute items and she said they could not. The only substitution that would be allowed is getting rid of the cocktail hour and adding additional people to the dinner. What are the rest of you doinghuh.gif If you already received a quote could you share what is included in it? Thanks!!!

Rose13-

I actaully met with Ana earlier this week- what she told me was that if you had more than 20 people, the prices were $26 for the cocktail hour and then $46 for the dinner, so basically $72 per person over the 20.

We decided to go with Dreams, right now I am just waiting for a confirmation for my date!

I am getting married this November 2nd and decided to do the free package but will have to pay $799 since I didn't book an Ocean Front room or higher. It's a small wedding on the beach and since we aren't doing any extra dinners, they said that they would make reservations (even though they don't take reservations) for us at one of the restaurants we pick to make sure we can get seated all together and that would be our wedding dinner. No extra costs since we are eating at one of the included restaurants. By far, it's the cheapest for us. We also got married at city hall in Chicago this past September so that we don't have to go through all the legal stuff and blood work there. Our guests won't know the difference since the ceremony is exactly the same, just not legal.

About how many people will be in your wedding. I am asking because I too would like to do the free package and hopefully get dinner reservations. I just would like to know how large of a party they will do that for. Thanks!

Did you see any of the places to have the reception. Where were they and what was nice?? How about the beach ceremony...did you see where that would be set-up?

I am having the same problem. I don't need photography or hairstyling either...I had asked about substitutions she said that we could probably get more video instead of photographer if we went with most expensive package. Did she say how many extra people you could get for dinner instead of the cocktail hour? I worked out all the prices on paper...I am thinking that we will probably have about 40 people and it was way more expensive to get everything individually. I think that I will probably end up with one of the packages but I am not sure which though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
