I think it helped a lot putting the chairs there and seeing it from this angle. The view behind it is amazing but I am concerned about what is to the left of this picture..... THE POOL!!! If you look at the map layout you can see how close the gazebo is to the pool. Also, the building roof in the background is the beach BAR!!! Not sure if this is the best location for a wedding gazebo.... I hope the beach is better!

Hola ladies! Geez this week has been busy. Well my guests are finally booking. So far 22 people. I went to try on wedding dresses this weekend for the first time. It's so surreal. I'm getting more excited as the the days go by and the more I see pics of the resort. I'm still a little unsure of the gazebo at this time, but I agree it will be nice to see what an actual wedding looks like there.

Can someone please send me the price list of the extras? nperez05@yahoo.com Thanks!

Does anyone know what the possible private receptions options are? I really want to have it on the beach or close. Maybe we can find out soon since it opens TOMORROW!! Yeah! If anyone gets a line on pictures of the resort keep us all posted. I'm not sure if they will post more on facebook, or update the Dreams website . . . Maybe we could post them here?

I bet dreams resort will start updating their own website. Facebook might. I really want to see where the ceremony on the beach will be located. But I bet it will be pretty.

So what have you girls got accomplished?

Save the dates?

Website?

Dress?

I really have not done anything except make a wedding website. But it is not completed yet. I am in the process of booking 10 rooms. Then hopefully more people will get interested after I send out save the dates. If you have sent out your std do you people something in them to rsvp.?

Hey girls! I've ordered my save the dates - they should be in by Monday and we'll send them out right away. I've also posted a website - soooo excited!

The pictures are amazing and I can't wait to start reading reviews on the hotel!

I just inculded my travel agents info - she keeps me posted on who has called her to book a room/flight. I think as long as you have the booking info or travel agent info you don't need rsvp instructions on the save the date.

We started with 120 people on the invite list and then literally within two days my parents have added another 20 people! yikes!

How is everyone elses' planning going? I feel like since I booked the photographer and the resort - I really don't have much left to do at least for a while!

Hi Ladies!

This is all so exciting! I found that choosing the resort was such a tough process that I almost feel like I have no energy for the rest of the planning. Our date is booked, June 3, 2010 but that is about it. I made our invites (save-the-dates that are doubling as the actual invite) and I made a website! R & R Wedding (if anyone is interested in viewing it).

Not sure what else I need to know at this point. Still trying to find a TA that can do a lot of the travel arrangements, but we have guests in Australia/New Zealand, the US and Canada! We were living in Canada previously but moved to Australia (supposed to be for a year maybe two) in March 2009 so planning has been difficult.

Anyone from Canada that could recommend a TA for destination weddings? I know there are TA's on this forum and I did contact one but she cannot do the air portion as she is based in the US; guess I will try the Canadian based TA on the forum.

Happy planning everyone!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
