My guests will need to pay their rooms in full 30 days prior to arrival. Another benefit of going through Apple is when you book both air and hotel you only need to put down $150 deposit (so people who cannot afford their airfare right now when it is cheap can still book and only put down a deposit).

As for the room situation, the garden view rooms are no longer available on the website for Dreams. Dreams gives all the tour operators (apple vacations ect.) an allotment of rooms and maybe your t.a. is going through one that only has the deluxe garden view so if you really want ocean view I would ask your t.a. to try other operatorshuh.gif
Good news! The price for the deposit my guests have to pay was reduced to $50 pp. I'm so glad they were able to work with us on that. I was really starting to worry that no one would book because of it. $300 is alot especially if they are married and then to have to come up with it under such a short notice is a lot to ask or at least I think it is. She also got rates on the premium rooms. Thanks again for letting me know the $50pp deposit. I would've never known.smile03.gif

Is anyone else doing a beach ceremony? There is a picture of a beach wedding on the Dreams villamanga website and i is GORGEOUS! Let me know what the rest of you are think about doing or any ideas you may have!
OMG, I love the aerial shot of the resort...it's beautiful. I'm so excited and to think I almost went with Azul Beach. The Barracuda Bar looks amazing. I can't wait to hang out with all my guests. I agree, the gazebo is interesting. Rod says they still need to add some finishing touches so we'll see. I love it and so thrilled with my decision.

I also just looked at the pictures and have the same feelings about the gazebo :) I always wanted to get married on the beach, so I think that I will stick with that! The beach bar does look great...I want to be on one of those swings right now!! I also asked Ana about pictures of reception locations but she said that she won't have any pictures until the resort opens.

I know this was a topic before but I just wanted to ask...has anyone decided what they will do about a photographer - use the resort photographer or get someone else? I have to make a decision about this really soon and I just don't know what to do!

I was hoping to get married in the gazebo for a couple of reasons. One reason is that I am not sure what kind of shoes to wear on the sand. The other reason is because at some of the resorts, the gazebo is more private and with a beach ceremony you chance having beach goers in the background and possibly a naked child running around...ha! But this looks like it is right in front of the bar. That doesn't make sense...maybe it is just the way the photo looks. Anyhow, I would be interested to see where the beach ceremony would be. Hopefully it is more private.

I have been reaching out to other photographers because I haven't heard great things about the resort photographers and am afraid I will regret it if I just go with them. But we are still deciding!

Soon2BMrsPrince - thanks for adding the dates of future brides in one spot. My fiance's name is Ari.

I am thinking that I will most likely have the ceremony on the beach. It does raise another question about what kind of shoes I will wear, but I'll figure it out.

Laura- as far as photographer goes, I am not sure what I am going to do. I mean, the package does come with one, but I think I will probably have someone else as well. Possibly a family member who is a photographer. But I would still use the one provided too, since he/she will already be paid for. I think we can do that at least...

Does anyone fully understand the difference between the Ultimate and Love package besides the obvious extra services? I guess I am referring more to the gold and silver menus. I am wondering what the big differences are.

I love this forum! Thanks to everyone for their input!

Is it becuase your weddings are close to the opening date?

Also I was wondering about photographers. I have booked mine and he is coming from home. He will be staying at the resort but I read something on the facebook page that had said no outside vendors? Anyone know?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
