Awesome ! thk, you for your post Laura :) Very helpful.

I did receive an email today from Ana confirming that the terrace, pool or beach are options for dinner sites.

Is there a bar/disco at the resort? I didn't think of renting a dance floor(actually it never even occurred to me to rent a dance floor, I assumed something like that would be included) because I figured we'd end up at the disco but now I'm trying to think back....I don't remember reading anything in any of the Dreams descriptions about a disco.....

There is a sports bar/ dance club at the D.R.C. I asked Rod on facebook if you are able to go there and dance. He said yes and that they will have a d.j.

Well I am booked for May 21 officially. I am so glad that part is over. I was not able to get the sunset time I wanted but I hear the sun sets on the other side of the resort. So I will not really be missing much.

I am having a very hard time picking the wedding package. At first I was going to just go ahead and do the ultimate wedding package so I would not have to worry about adding anything on. But my T.A/W.P thinks that I would get a cheaper price if I got the free wedding package and add on my reception. I see that some of you are going to be doing the same thing.

The only thing that I worried about with this is that all the separate prices are going add up more then what the package is priced at. But we will see.

Also are any of you planning on getting a d.j.? It seems that the d.j for dreams is about 280 a hour.

In the free wedding package I see that their is not any music for the walking down the aile included. What are you plans for this? I would hate to walk down the aile with no music. I would think it would look kind of strange.

Last but not least I know that the wedding gazebo is not finished yet but does anyone know if this is going to have a beach view or garden view?

Okay no really this is the last question lol

Do you plan on having your honeymoon at dreams or do you think you might go to a adults only resort and get the benefits of having another honeymoon at a different resort?

hello ladies,

I'm going to Cancun this weekend to check out some resorts. I was originally going to do Los Cabos (hence the username) but it was a little out of budget for some key family members. Oh the joys of DW planning! I'm considering DRC, but won't be able to visit it since it doesn't open until Oct 1. I'm going to visit Dreams Cancun and ask some questions this weekend. Obviously I'm lost and don't know what I really should be asking, any suggestions?

Also, I've noticed that when I go to the dreams resort website and enter my dates with 2 guests per room in the Deluxe Room I'm quoted at $1296 for two people w/o flight. I'm hoping if I choose to do it there that I can lock in that rate.

I have the ultimate package, but I would imagine you can rent equipment that you can hook your ipod up to. This way you can play music as you walk down the aisle. You definitely want music. I went to a wedding this past weekend where there was no music at the ceremony and it seemed as though it was missing something. We just all started clapping because the silence was akward. Ha!

I have heard that the gazebo is going to have a beach view.

I haven't researched it yet, but I think we will have our honeymoon at a different resort (2 days after the wedding) since we will have been at DRC for 1 week prior to the wedding. Also, this way if anyone sticks around too much longer after the wedding, we won't feel obligated to entertain them ; ) I would probably choose an adults only resort also.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
