Her name is Tina Hearn with All About Vacations. Her number is (281) 838-1324. Her services are free and she doesn't charge us a commission. She is compensated through the vendors she uses.

I use the travel agent Jill, who is on this website. You can find her info if you click on the tab at the top. She has been very helpful to me from the beginning. I needed help finding a resort and she was able to help me find answers to all of my questions...and I had (and still have) a lot of questions. She has also been working directly with the WC at Dreams.

As for rates, she claims to have the best rates but I have seen the same rates and some that are better on the Dreams website. She is able to match the rates, but it is true that it is one extra step. I have told my guests to do their research before contacting her to ensure that they get the best rates.

I still think it is nice to have one contact that helps answer my questions. She also was a Dreams Cancun bride so has gone through this herself.

I hope that helps.

Exactly! I actually saw a post from another bride on Facebook and she said that she is bringing an outside photographer and Claudia confirmed it's ok (before Ana was brought on board). I truly think Ana is mistaken. We'll see when she responds to me.

Have you confirmed your wedding date yet? I think we will be a week apart! So exciting!

I too received an introductory email from Ana. Still waiting for her to confirm the date though.

Not sure if we will do direct booking with the hotel or through a TA. Since our date is still a bit away we are going to wait and do a re-quote from our TA and hopefully the price will reduce a little.

Hi RandP8910 - Since your parents are travel agents and suggested this resort, I just wanted to get your opinion of your booking process... I am receiving very slow email responses from Ana and the group sales manager. I've been trying to book a date and room rate for 2 weeks. It makes me doubt the resort, if it is such a challenge just to reserve the date. What has your experience been like?

Hi Ashly, I know this post is not directed to me but I thought I would answer as well. Ana is new to the resort and only started a few days ago. All the wedding files that have been accumulating for the new resort were being processed by the WC at the Dreams Cancun resort. Needless to say I think they were run off their feet and so Ana is now coming into a storm of emails. Having said this, I think the delay in communication from the WC overall (in Mexico at least) is commonly slllooooowwww.........grrr...I know. Be patient. I can imagine that Ana will be quite busy but have faith, I think no matter which resort you chose, if it is popular like all the Dreams Resorts, I think initial correspondence will be slow. Not likely what you wanted to hear but better to know up front.

Good luck with your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
