Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

I made my wedding album and trash the dress album public on facebook if you want to check out pictures.  I'll probably change it back to friends only in about a few weeks. Enjoy!

Hi all ! I'm spending my last night at dreams :/ big day is officially booked for october 29th 2015. I'm so glad we came for the week to see how crazy the weather can drastically change from day to day. We also saw 6 weddings !

The people all over taking a front row seat to the gazebo totally turned me off. So i changed my whole plan...

Ceremony north beach at 445pm I'm hoping to get that suite and walk right out so it's very private

Reception on the other beach (we have to many people) I am going to skip the cocktail hour and do a 4 hour reception instead 530-930

I loved the coral and gold

I'm just really stuck on food. I liked things from different places so I'm really hoping they will work with me on the food menu.

Please give me any input on flowers and the photo booth ..I love that any cell phone pictures they print for you !!

Ah there's far too many options!

@@Tammi1025 @@SusanMarie813 @@adehaarte sent the budget planner, although i do recommend getting it straight from the resort as there may have been changes in prices.

So, I have a slight dilemma.....the resort has sold out of all of the 3 cheapest room category types for my wedding weekend (May 1-May 4). I wasn't expecting this and a lot of people I'm expecting still haven't booked even though my deposit deadline was October 1! I have 33 people booked so far but expecting at a minimum 10 more people! The room block I reserved is completely full and I really did not want to get another one and even if I do, the only rooms left are the Preferred Club Premium Ocean View rooms or better.

Has anyone had this same issue, of the resort almost selling out? And how did you communicate this to your guests without feeling like you are bugging/rushing them?

Has anyone found a close hotel option to give their guests?

@@pddcmc I told certain people that I know are planning to come, and i have a note on my website. Also, when some ppl tried to book through my travel agent, she told them that those room categories have sold out. I am getting another room block so that people can book....I've also directed people to travel websites in the meantime.

Has any of the room types sold out for your weekend?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
