Hello. Did anyone have their hair and makeup done at the resort? How much did it cost? And how did it turn out? Did they use false lashes? Thanks

All the girls at our wedding had their hair and makeup done - 15 total !! My husband and I paid for it - It was 120 per person / 110 for short hair .. I thought it turned out great, I have pictures of everyone's hair on my Facebook for whoever is interested - I got them to give us 10% off I think it was with our package and my hair/makeup was free with our package but I did pay for a trial run for hair which I'm glad I did - I didn't love how my hair turned out after the trial so I was nervous going into the wedding but I told the girl what I didn't like and she was able to make the changes and my hair was perfect !! To be honest their makeup isn't great .. I had them use some of mine .. Mainly foundation, powder and mascara because I'm picky - overall I was happy - they could only take 4 girls at a time tho so we had appts 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm - oh and I brought my own hair spray too - and my own bobby pins, again I am picky :-))

This might sound crazy but I had an excel spreadsheet of when all my guests were going to arrive - and my husband and I greeted every guest (for the most part) in the lobby - it was fun for us and it was important that we took the time to welcome each of them to the resort - we did our own welcome bags and gave them their bags when we greeted them, it was a lot of fun !! we ordered custom drawstring bags online and we also ordered custom neck wallets - both were super useful around the resort - we also ordered biodegradable sunscreen, facesticks, chapsticks and bug spray online - other ideas: laundry bags, after bite, aspirin, candy, t-shirts, hats, coozies or cups to keep your drinks cold, beach balls, vitaminC, water cameras, oh and we ordered these super cute do not disturb door hangers (off etsy I think) that said something like I partied all night at Jess&Zach's wedding with the date .. loved them! hope that helps!

I'm aiming to greet my guests in the lobby as well.  I want to give them their welcome bags at that time.  I keep debating buying koozies and card decks.  I'm running out of time, so I have to decide quickly.

I picked up my wedding dress from the seamstress!  Another item crossed off my to do list.  Fiance bought bose sound speakers and a mic to use instead of renting the sound system.  Now to figure out which guest will help with the ipod.  I'm down to 3 weeks until we leave!

To all brides, what room are you and your bridesmaids getting ready in? I really want the master suite for the weekend but its so expensive!

I'm going to see if there is a room available for us to use on the wedding day.  I don't want to pay for the master suite, but yes it looks soo awesome!  My in laws did book that room, so worse case, we'll go there.

Anyone Help!!! Im in need of some information thinking of getting married at this resort 3/2016.... Wondering if someone could help me with an idea of pricing for 25-30 ppl including flowers reception decor DJ ceremony etc...

Thanks !!!

Krista

I can email you the budget planner, but know the prices will probably increase for 2016.

Has anyone worked with Floreria Riviera Maya?  I'm really concerned about paying the 100 per bridesmaids bouquet.  It just seems extensive.    I'm considering them for the personal flowers, not our centerpieces because I don't want to pay the outside vendor fee.  Looking for a few bride reviews. Would love to hear your experience.

I had 8 bridesmaids and did not want to spend $100 per bouquet either -- when we met a few days before our wedding I told our coordinator we only wanted to spend $50 per bouquet -- I told her I wanted white lilies and they made it happen! In my experience I found that dreams was very easy to work with and very accommodating -- I can share a picture if that helps but I was very happy with our flowers -- they took care of everything -- and I just went with the standard bouquet that came with the package -- no complaints at all

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
