Hey girls what about rehearsal dinner?

Any ideas?

We're going to the wine cellar for our rehearsal dinner. The restaurants are crazy busy so you if you have a large group and you want to be together I'd recommend going to world cafe or paying the reservation fee/private event fee

We're not doing a welcome reception.  I was thinking about doing a welcome dinner, but didn't want to do it the day that most people are flying in. I might just do a meet and great in the lobby bar area and if people want to join us for dinner the following day they can.

I think I'll do the same. I just can't convince my fiancé to spend the extra money, and to be honest I really don't want to either.

@@tkennerson  I have a site tour on July 17th too!

Sorry I'm so late with this. We met with Elisa and Claudia came in for a floral consultation on Thursday. What did you think about it?

We're not doing a rehearsal dinner either. We'll just make reservations at one of the restaurants. We're only going to pay for the reception dinner and no other dinners.

@@AmberDragon - We feel the same way. It is an all-inclusive resort, so why pay extra just for a private party? Plus, we invite/encourage guests to explore the city and activities, as well. You know,...take full advantage of the trip. We'll tell people, hey we're having a meal at ___, feel free to join us.

That's what we are doing pddcmc.  Most of our guests are only going to be there 5 days so we want to give them time to do what they want.  I told them we only need 1 day and the rest is their time.  Everyone is happy without me having to plan every minute.  Plus I don't need any other private parties except for the reception.

Hi Everybody!!

I am getting married at Dreams on 3rd October 2014 (69 days to go!!) My schedule looks like:

4.00pm - Ceremony at North Beach

5.30pm - Cocktail hour at the jacuzzi area

7.00pm - Reception at South Beach

We have gone with the Ultimate package so have got a lot of things included, I would say it is definitely worth it. On top of the cost of the package we are are having the DJ and photographer that my WC has recommended, I have had really good contact with everyone involved via email, I've never had to wait more than 3 days for a reply from anybody. If anybody has any questions or needs any of the documents from the hotel sending across then you can email me at mrscowbag@live.co.uk and I'll be happy to help! :)

I have most things sorted now, but was wondering as I am having a legal ceremony if anybody knows what kind of wording is read out during the ceremony by the judge and if I am able to give the judge any additional wording like a poem to read out. As it's a legal ceremony, I know it can be quite strict. I would really appreciate any help regarding this :) also if anybody is getting married around the same date as mine, let me know!!

Thank you! X

Congrats mrscowbag!  What dates will you be at the resort?  I'll be getting married 10 days after you!  The legal ceremony script is strict, but I know you can add your own vows.  We're doing a symbolic to save money so I don't have a copy of it.

We are getting married Sept 28, 2014. Symbolic ceremony with the ultimate package. I'm not going to get the DJ because Kade and I will make a playlist before we go and just have MC in charge of sound system. I believe the MC will announce wedding party, first dance, etc. Mrscowbag are you purchasing the dance floor? We are using photographer from resort but I'm going to have family and friends do my reception pics to save on cost (maybe put out disposable cameras on the tables).

My new WC's name is Maira.  I probably here from her every 4 days now.  I'm going to setup a phone call with her a month before wedding to try and finalize everything.  I've never heard of her before from any other post....have you?  I'm wondering if she is new.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
