Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Hello!

Does anyone know if the wedding coordinator would be open to swapping the marichi trio (that comes with the ultimate wedding package) with the dance floor for 30 people? Although, I am sure we would enjoy the mariachi trio, I would swap them for the dance floor ;-)

Thanks,

Emmy

I don't think you can do that. The only way you can switch is if it's the same category, like food for food or flowers for flowers.

They might do it, but I don't think you can.

I don't know if I shared these, but if I have, there are some new ones...

These are the pics that we got on our camera from the trip plus the ones our guests uploaded to our shutterfly share site. It shows alot of the resort so you can get an idea of what it looks like. I made the album public so y'all can see;

 (this album has our shower and my bachelorette party pics too so skip past those if you want. The wedding ones are closer to the bottom)

And if there are any newbies here are all my links:

I really doubt it, they are not flexible with things like this, BUT I would not pass up the mariachi trio.... just my advice. I had them at my cocktail hour and it added such a cool vibe and my guests were suprised by them and loved it and thats a bunch of loud new yorkers. I am very happy I kept them, i think it really completes the Mexico wedding and its different and fun.

Hi everyone! We got our final video back from StoryMix and I wanted to share! It's an hour long so you probably won't watch the whole thing, but wanted to share incase anyone was interested :)  here is the link: http://www.storymixmedia.com/weddings/gallery.php?k=savanah-john-ryan The very first one on the page is the final video :)  It shows alot of the resort, the restaurants, the master suite, the spa, etc so you can have some ideas of what it looks like! :) I also wanted to let y'all know I opened up an Etsy shop with some of the things I made for the wedding if anyone is interested!  http://www.etsy.com/shop/SavSmilesDesigns And here's the FB page:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sav-Smiles-Designs/506251909412492?ref=hl  Thanks to Jenna and Kendra on this board for being my guinea pigs! :)
Hey Savs I was just looking at ur beautiful pics again and I had a question, where did u get the conch shells on ur aislerunner? Were they provided by the resort (if so what did they charge)? Or did you purchase them from somewhere? Thanks for ur help!

The runner and the shells were provided by the resort! I think they are standard in the ultimate package. We didn't ask for them and they didn't tell us they were going to put them down so that's why I'm thinking they are standard :)

Thanks Savs! I will have to ask abt them cuz we are doing the free wedding package and adding on what we want, it's more cost-effective for us this way since we are having a small group for our wedding :) the conch shells are a nice touch!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
