Hi ladies...

I cant believe Eva is no longer at dreams... I'm freaking out a bit even though I'm trying to stay positive because shes the one who made all the resos and prices and location promises for me ... hopefully they wont screw anything up... as long as my dinner is still at seaside and my ceremony location is confirmed I'm sure everything will fall into place but hopefully somebody will respond to me soon ,,,,

Gah, the inconsistencies in pricing is driving me nuts!  I was quoted $85 USD + tax for each bridesmaids bouquet, to match BQT 13 from the catalog.  I emailed Lorena back and asked her about other brides being quoted $60 and she insisted that $85 was the current price, and had been since June 2012, and would be going up again June 2013.  She said anyone who received a lower price must have been quoted before June 2012.  Then she said if I really wanted to only spend $60 per bridesmaids bouquet they could do that, but the bouquets would be very small and more like a child's bouquet.  So I guess we're going with the $85 version.  I just hate how it feels like you have no other options than to pay whatever price they decide on that day!

Just an FYI, I brought my own flowers down from Alexis Grace Designs on Etsy.  I only paid $350 for a boatload of flowers and bouts and now they're on display in my living room for me to look at and admire forever.  I recommend that!!

Thanks Tammy and Rach0636 - I appreciate your feedback. Today I spoke to the resort again - first the call centre then reservations, and then the weddings department. I spoke to a fantastic lady named Gabriela (Weddings Supervisor). She was extremely professional and understanding, she is going to be getting in touch with the groups team at the resort and will try to get us the best rate possible. She was so nice she even reserved our wedding date for us for a week (no deposit) while she makes arrangements on our rates :) I emailed her after we spoke and forawrded the screen shots I had taken (soooo glad I kept those), and she responded very promply. We'll see what she can do, at least things are looking up!

I had Gabi as my wedding coordinator. She was awesome! She is really on top of things and did an amazing job! Be prepared to wait a few days before she replies to your email. She gets over 100 emails a day.

I am using boquet #4 and i think the cost is 70$ however i am also using them as my centerpeices... i am paying 10$ for the vases and they are using the floers from the bouquets in them because i felt like right after the ceremony they would be put down and not used again. i am having 6 tables and 4 bridesmaids so im only purchasing two centerpeices and paying 10$ for the 4 additional vases.. just an idea

The good news is that Im sure can pack light for your younger son and use his extra space for additional wedding items.  Between my hubby and I, we carried two 50 lb. suitcases a piece, each a large carry on bag, and each a personal item(they have people that can assist you with carrying all of your stuff at airports for a small tip or luggage carrier thingies you can use, lol). We also had a relative carry our last extra suitcase and jammed many other items in my parents suitcases and carried ons.

P.S. I was advised by wedding coordinators and our travel agent not to mail things to the resort as they often get caught up at customs ultimately not making it through.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
