yes that's correct. And it only includes 50 photos. You have to buy a separate photo package. The photo packages for adventure photos are pretty cheap in my opinion for what you get. For the coverage we got and the quality of the photos we got, we would have paid alot more in the US. Here is a link to our slideshow that Anel did for us a few weeks ago. http://171212ryan.dreamsriveriacancun.adventurephotos.com.mx

They don't let you switch out between things in the package unless it's the same type of thing. Like you can use cocktail hour money towards dinner, and bouquet money towards centerpieces, but not photographry to food.

also.. I love you chair bows! are those the one provided by the resort or did you bring those with you? I love the pattern on them..

Hi Elsa,

The wedding guide says gazebo decor/ 2 flower corsages from $280.  Probably depends on the type of flowers.  Best to add your WC directly.

The paper lanterns were actually provided by the resort. I paid $150 per bamboo pole which included all the paper lanterns and lights inside.

We got 4 of the bamboo poles which I felt was a perfect amount and covered the back side of the pool deck completely. We also got the lights under the tables to add more lighting.

Hello Savs, how much were the lights for under the tables? thanks!

hey everyone,

so i decided to do something a little different and get the saxaphone player for my beach ceremony.... i asked lorena about it and she sent me a video of a harp player and even though i want the sax i think it added such a nice touch! i asked her if i still needed to pay for the sound system and she let me know that NO i do not BUT i would pay 50$ for the microphone. she said the musician is the same as the sound system basically...... its going to cost me 500$ but i always wanted a saxaphone player at my wedding and my fiance agreed that its worth it..  so im not sure if that helps those of u who want the mexican trio but basically im paying for him plus 50 for a microphone which i am going to try and get her to give me for free lol

whew so much to do... so little time !

Savs, I am so worried about the DJ now after hearing about your experience. I just sent him (Cesar Mauricio) my song list this past weekend and havent heard back as of yet. We leave in 2 weeks :/

Question about using the microphone for the ceremony at the gazebo... did you think it was loud enough so that all the other guests as the pool can hear you? I want to make sure that im not broadcasting over the entire pool area! :)

I know you said you decided to use the poles with the lanterns and LOVED them. Did you decide this while you were down there, or did you have to give them a heads up before you left?

I am also not doing a cocktail hour and hoping that everyone will gather at the beach bar. The only thing I am worried about is that there are two other weddings going on that day, including one with 90 guests! and im hoping that they dont have the same idea :/ Did you notice any other weddings going on while yours was?

Hey Rachel! I am actually in the middle of figuring out our cocktail hour too, but we will not be going to the beach bar on the South beach, especially if that's where you and your wedding guests plan on going, I would not want to disrupt that with my group of 90 people lol. I think we'll just have ours on the North beach.

Did you say there are 3 weddings all on the 28th?!?! What time is the other one at? And here I thought 2 was enough!

Have you been receiving many emails from Gina? I have hardly heard back from here since the holidays and I'm kind of worried!

I hope everything is coming together perfectly for you guys! :)

Hey Rach! I am actually in the middle of trying to decide where to hold our cocktail hour but don't worry, we will not have it at the South beach bar, especially if you and your party plans on having it there because I know our weddings are essentially at the same time so it would definitely overlap. :)  We're planning on having it on the North Beach immediately following our ceremony so no worries!

Did you say there are 3 weddings on the 28th?!?!?! I thought there was a rule at Dreams that they only hold 2 weddings per day...

My co-ordinator has been so slow getting back to me since the CHristmas holidays, have you been having the same issue? I saw you were asking about DJs, we have Jorge I believe? I haven't seen anyone else post comments about him so I sure hope he works out. We are bringing down an iPod will all of the songs we want played as a back-up, in case the DJ doesn't have everything, eventhough we'll be sending a playlist beforehand.

I hope your plans are coming together perfectly, I can tell you're extremely organized so it's all going to turn our beautifully! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
