Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Hi Brides,

When did you all receive a tentative invoice??? I really need to be on top of our budget and I can't if I keep getting responses like "...that is not included in the package. I will have to send you a price quote"... Still waiting for that quote.

I had the technician use my IPAD and also brought down the music on a CD just in case something happened. So, I would say either of the ones listed above will work for you. And yes, I actually had the DJ do my ceremony music too so when I met with him prior to the wedding I told him what song was for what and he played them all perfectly. Also, if you have the DJ for the ceremony it wasn't extra, just a tid bit of info.

My wedding was at 3pm and I had 3 of us for hair and makeup and the other 2 just hair; the appts started at 11:30 and we had like a little over an hour left between finish and ceremony. I would say if you email them and tell them how many people you have and what they are having done and what time you want to be done at they will schedule accordingly.

I would say with your wedding being so far out it will take time to get your quotes back and questions answered. I know its difficult especially when you are trying to work within a budget. I'm not sure what you are asking for a quote on but for a different bouquet or centerpieces I would say to budget on the higher side if you aren't picking from their catalog. Good price for centerpieces is 130 each and then for bouquet from 150-200; this all depends on what you are looking for. Also, there is a PDF you can download from their online site that lists all other prices for additional things not included in your package.

Hello All,

I recently received a new wedding planner form Gina sent me that is more detailed vs. their previous questions. It does say on there:

Children are considered from 6 to 12 years and they pay 50% of the meals
Infants are considered under the 5 years and they can have a special menu at no cost (menu list is also on the wedding planner).

If anyone needs the planner email me at judany@gmail.com and I'll send it to you as I do not come to the forum often.

I also have these documents in case anyone needs them:

CATALGO CENTROS DE MESA.pdf

BOUQUET INC.pdf

Dinner Menu Ultimate Pkg.pdf

Gold Appetizers.pdf

buffet menu.pdf

VEGETARIAN MENU.docx

Congrats on the upcoming wedding.  I had a quick question for you.  Are you doing the civil ceremony or symbolic?  I am asking because for civil on Dreams website says to arrive 4 full business days prior not including weekends but it seems most are arriving 3 days prior.  When I emailed Eva she said both were fine but I am trying to gage what most people are doing so I don't lose a day.

Thanks

Nicole

Hi Nicole,

We are doing a civil ceremony.  We booked through a travel agent, and she did most of the talking with the wedding planner about the arrival dates, etc., but basically we were told that the ideal date to arrive at the resort is Sunday, because then your wedding can be on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. If you get there Sunday and have the wedding on Thursday (which is what we're doing) you are there 3 full business days with the wedding on the 4th business day (our wedding is late in the day at 4pm, but I don't think this matters).  We were told several times that this would be OK (I was quite worried about it as well!), so hopefully this is correct.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
