Thanks for all the suggestions!! We are using the DJ for the ceremony and reception. I emailed him asking if he knew about times as well.

This is the last big thing we're deciding on! Everything else is pretty much done!!! I have to make 1 more big purchase for the OOT bags and that's it!! We're just waiting on a few more people to decide if they're coming or not before we order them.

9 days!!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

For the music I rented the sound system and I will be bringing a CD and IPad to play the music just in case one doesn't work I atleast have a backup. I'm not sure if you hired the DJ but from a previous review I had read that the DJ can run the sound system for your ceremony so if you haven't already maybe ask him if he would do this for you, and as far as I know there is no extra charge. That way he will know when to cut songs and if need be replay a song.

I'm not sure how long the sand ceremony and bridal party walk down the aisle to the gazebo is going take. I can't imagine the sand ceremony taking more then a couple minutes but for the bridal party maybe have 1 very long song. For the ceremony I used all Vitamin String Quartet songs, which in general are longer.  Here are the songs I picked:

Ceremony: All of these are by the Vitamin String Quartet
Guests Seating Don't Stop Believing-VSQ cover of Journey
Wonderful Tonight-VSQ cover of Eric Clapton
Love Story- VSQ cover of Taylor Swift
Groom & Bridal Party Can't help falling in Love- VSQ cover of Michael Buble

Bride Marry Me- By Train-there is an instrumental version
comes up when you google VSQ Marry Me (has a CD cover with a bird on it)
Sand Ceremony/Signing the Papers Just the Way You Are-VSQ cover of Bruno Mars
Exit I'm Yours-VSQ version of Jason Mraz (also download reg version)

Also, don't forget a bridal party entrance song, your entrance song, dance songs and cake cutting and if your doing garter/bouquet toss. So much small stuff!

Can someone please give me the email address for dj Mauricio? The one the resort gave me is not working & the other address I found they are not responding to. Also do any past brides have any suggestions on which buffet they liked? We have around 40 people on the pool deck.

visualsound2010@hotmail.com

that's the email I have.

Just from reading this board for the past 10 months, it seems the Caribbean buffet was the most popular! that's what we're doing :)

I believe there are multiple versions of ceremony scripts that Linda offers, so my suggestion would be to reach out to her for the various options before you make your programs. When she sent me over some options she only sent not even 1/2 and I had seen others and when asking her about the other options she just scheduled a meeting to pick them.

I would ask her about this before making your programs! She told me that there are many options and we would meet once we got there to discuss them all. We decided to not make programs because of that. One less thing for me to worry about! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
