we got our dvd today from the resort...

we just have the ceremony as part of our package.

all i can say is, if you care about having video of your wedding then you'd better hire someone.

the dvd looks like it was shot in 1988 on a vhs

its nice to have, and we really didnt care about the video part of the wedding, but definitely hire an outside video person if it is a big deal to you.

did you get a photo book? I am curious on the quality of those. im dissapointed i have to get an outside vendor for video because i do want one.. its strange they haven't advanced in that area when their photo department is so good. i watched some of the videos on their website i couldn't believe how poor the quality was.

Whats the website for the resort videographer? I planned on just using them but now I'm worried I will be dissapointed.

Thanks!

we are waiting for the photo book to come in... very curious as well

one other thing that really bothered me is the fact that our slideshows are not available on dvd.

i emailed anel about getting dvd copies of them and she said they do not do that and that the website would be up for a "couple of years"... what a waste, we cannot have them forever?

What photo package did you end up getting?

I am trying to figure out which one makes the most sense for us.  No matter which one we pick though I want to make sure which ever photos we pick out we can have on a DVD and not just printed copies.

Does anyone know if you can have a DVD of photos with any of the packages?

All the photo packages include a CD of the images. I actually don't think you get any printed images unless you pay for them. Atleast that's what it looks like to me. But if you look at the wedding guide it does say the CD is included in all the packages.

We're getting the $1500 package. I want to do the TTD so that made the most sense for us.

Hi Jessica!

You are a day before our wedding!! Have you started any real planning yet? Sometimes, I think its way too early to make certain planning decisions... But then I can't help myself. Lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
