WEDDING COLORS...

Girls... Need your opinion....

We are not having a huge bridal party because we'd have to have like 15 people each. There would be no one sitting in the audience, haha. SOOOO we are making my fiances son his Best Man, and his daughter, my future step daughter (shes 8), my Maid of honor.

Im not sure if I should buy her a white dress with a purple accent to match our flowers or a purple dress? Im soooo confused. dizzy.gif I mean, my gut was to go with a purple dress. Help.

WAIT this leads me to my next question....

HONORARY BRIDAL PARTY

Since we are not doing a traditional bridal party, Id like to still acknowledge some people who I would have chosen... Any suggestions on how to do this? We may have a lil get together here in NY after we get back at our house or something... any ideas?

Thanks so much for the review Katie!!! Your pictures were gorgeous!

I have 2 questions:

1.Who was your DJ? I've heard there are 2. I am using the visual sound guy.

2. Do you know how much they charged you to put the blue ribbon on the gazebo? I love the way that looks! I asked Lorena about it and she said $600 even if we bring our own ribbon. Is that accurate?

Thanks again!!

My DJ was Mauricio but he is from that Visual Sound place. They know their music and can get anything. He even said if ppl make requests at the wedding and he doesnt have it he can download it in less than a minute. The ribbon was not 600...I was charged 111 with tax but I only had it on the side facing us. It's a 100 per side but i didnt bother doing both since no one can see it anyway. It might be 600 if you also get the two flower decorations as well? The flowers were nice, but you are literally under that thing for 20 mins tops so it didnt seem worth it.

I have 3  questions for you...... 1. Was Cesar your DJ ? I just booked him & read ur review so im praying you say YES.

2. I am still up in the air about my cocktail hr location..... why do u say u would have chosen the jacuzzi over the beach ? Lorena has me down for jacuzzi but i actually asked for the beach & im also interested in finding out where the pic that i posted in an earlier post is.... whats ur take on the cocktail hr locations and do you have a pic of your set up ? ?

3. i cannot find you on facebook lol can you request me ? emily todaro... let me know! thank you

I think I friended you based on the pic....lol My DJ was Mauricio. Mine was on the beach, which I didnt really see bc we were taking pics, but I saw other wedding with theirs at the jacuzzi and i really like it because it is more private and your guests are kind of off to another spot while you are taking pics.....after the ceremony and toast we went to the lobby to take pics and worked our way back to the beach, which at that point everyone wanted to take pics w us and say congrats, which kinda disrupted our flow w the photographer. We had about 38 ppl which might have been tight at the jacuzzi but w a smaller group perfect. The beach just had high tables set up and we had the Mexican Tri which everyone loved! Either way it was awesome. That pic you posted might have been the jacuzzi

I vote for the purple dress ;) My neice is only going to be 5 and I might even put her in like a 'junior bridesmaids dress rather than the typical flower girl looking dress.... theres somethign about it that I like better... ;) and i think your best man and maid of honor ideas are great. we are doing a bridal party with 6 people each and i sorta regret it. it makes everything more expensive... i feel bad about not picking more people ( but also i would have noone in the audience lol ).. and i dont know its just a pain in the neck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
