April you are in the high season (spring break, etc.)

Tammy, we were looking at a Zoetry resort for December!  Do you know what the prices are?  We want to take a 5-7 day honeymoon.

Also, I've been in contact with Evangelina who has been coordinating things for me.  I asked her about adding on an additional photo package and she asked if I had contacted the photographer directly.  I wasn't aware if we were supposed to do this ourselves and choose an extra package, or if she would contact them.  I hope it's not too late!

Any advice would be helpful :)

Ash, not sure about the photos but I heard horror stories with shipping.  I've heard it's very pricy!  I am also a control freak and would only be comfortable having my stuff with me so I am checking it all.

I'M 3 DAYS BEFORE YOU!!! I CANNOT WAIT!

I'm not shipping anything. It sounds like I have about the same amount of items as you. I am going to pre-stuff my OOT bags with the small things (sunscreen, guest itineraries, pepto, etc) then lay them flat in a suitcase. I'm hoping that will help save some time and space. :)

I was also told to contact the Photographers seperately also. They will be paid for seperate from the Wedding. The email address is: [email protected]. You can find the photo packages in the Dreams Wedding Guide (if you don't have it, just google "Dreams Riviera Cancun Wedding Guide-it's a PDF), that's what I did.

I've heard that shipping things down there isn't a good idea. It takes a ton of space in the luggage to carry it down, but it may be the best way to make sure things get down there!

I was wondering the same thing! My flight is a charter and they said they don't have those closets either. I'm hoping there will be someone to help me when I get there so it will be ok. Maybe there's an empty seat or something. Let me know if you come up with something! I leave in 2 weeks!!

When we called AA they said the same thing. I still took the dress and had a folded bag just in case they wonâ€t allow it as carry on. When we got to the airport all the staff was very understandable and they just hung it in the business class section, they did have a closet on that plane. I recommend to take the dress with you and just having a backup plan.

I will post more later, but for now, I have a few items I would sell to any brides coming down this week if they are interested- that way , I don't have to lug them back to Michigan :P I have 3 32" White candelabras with extra acrylic crystals, 3 ten-foot-long/36" wide iridescent beaded curtains (used for the back and sides of the huppah) 2 organza overlays ( for the cake table and guest book table, perfect size for a 36" top table) with iridescent beaded valances attached, white "I do " letters with some crystals, a blue <3 Bride <3 dress hanger, etc. Etc- let me know if anyone is coming this week and wants to buy these- this website has been so helpful in planning and want to have a mutual helping out if anyone wants. Thanks! I am having trouble uploading photos , so until I get them up, you can email me at [email protected]. Good luck planning ladies!

I wish I could help you out and take a few things off your hands but unfortunately my wedding won't be until next summer. Just curious where you got the bead curtains for the huppah from? I bet they looked amazing and I would love something like that.

Thanks

Alicia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
