Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

You said that they let you use their cord for your laterns. Were they the paper type lanterns that hang? Also, where did you order you chair sashes? Are the chairs a certain size?

Sorry for all the questions I am a late starting bride who recently decided to start planning :) All the info helps!

Hi! I am getting married next July and have been trying to contact the hotel for July 2013 rates and no responses. Do you mind me asking what the rates were they gave you? I have nothing to go off of and would like some sort of reference point. We have about 20 guests. Thank you!!!

When I got to the resort, Eva had nothing to do with the wedding. Lorena had all the emails I sent to Eva and she just completed the questionnaire during our appoitment and took care of everything.

This makes me feel a lot better!  I just emailed Eva.  If she doesn't reply by Wednesday, I will call.  :)  Thank you!

We got our stuff from JCrew but we're going pretty casual - gray pants & sun washed button downs...that's it!

Yeah...we were down there this exact time last year and it rained 3-4 out of our 7 days.  Maybe something about the last week of June!  We were bummed.

Currently my friend is there on her honeymoon and said it's been sunny during the day but raining at night.

I hope July & August are dry!!  Cross your fingers!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
