Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

Hello DRC past & present Brides,

Does anyone know how many hours of photography is included in the Ultimate package? I would like to know because I plan on using the photography for either my Rehearsal dinner or our romantic dinner on the beach. Has anyone use their photography for something else? If so, how did it turn out? Did you receive your photos in a slide show as well? If you would like to share your slideshow, please email me at phillip.noelle@gmail.com. Thank you!!!!

What is the best way to travel with the wedding dress. Does everyone just folds it in the suitecase.

From what I have heard, when you board on the airplane, you carry it on and they will hang it up in a closet for you

That's awesome -yeah I loved it there that's why when we picked a Destination wedding DRC was really the only option.

While on vacation there I would watch like 2 weddings a day and I never thought it would be me :)

They were always so beautiful that's why I have managed to not overly stress through this whole process!

Our weddings will be great and now were so close- Im super excited!!!

I haven't been too stressed either!!  I can't believe how close we are!  What day do you arrive again?

I believe that if you carry it on your flight, they will hold it up front for you and hang it in the coat closet :)

We chose a preferred club room. We chose it because it is our honeymoon too, so we wanted to splurge. Some of the perks: seperate check-in, automatic honeymoon packge included (if you book for 7+night-you can read about the honeymoon package online), upgrade liquor options, internet, etc.

Also, we booked with a travel agent and we sent all of our guests to her too. She told us we would be getting a discount based on the number of rooms we got booked. That is another reason we opted for preferred club-we knew we would get a discount...no matter how much or how little. We have 36 guests which came out to 12 rooms. God bless out TA, because we are paying super discounted rate for  a 10 night stay in a prefered club suite and we got to upgrade my parents room also!!

hope this helps. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
