are you sure for any rooms that are unused or rooms that are not released in the timeframe they give.  we are always allowed to release rooms from our group blocks.

Hey ladies....Anyone been to Mexico during the summer and know what their night time temps are like? We went in October and it was quite chilly at night so I was just wondering if June-Aug were any better. I don't want my guest shivering at the reception =]

I blocked 12 rooms for 24 guests. I paid $50/pp. You can cancel rooms w/ no charge atleast 180 days before your date. I also was told that the 2013 prices weren't out as of yet. So we were given 2012 prices. To me... I feel the prices were a little too high. I am nervous that it may scare some of guests from coming. sad.gif

I doubt your guests will be shivering at the reception. Our wedding is in August... I was told that in the summer, temp. can reach a high of 105 F. If you are still concerned, you can always give your guests pashmina scarfs.

Hi Ladies!!  Oh my goodness we leaving next friday...I'm counting down the hours!!!

For the MOST part I'm not freaking out-just need to finish a few last minute things for our welcome bags.

One thing I haven't even started thinking about is the music for all of the ceremny and stuff!  We are "dancing" down the aisle to I think I Wanna Marry You, but other than that haven't thought of it.  Also haven't made any decisions about the timing of the reception with when to cut the cake and stuff...

We picked a different song for each of our wedding party to enter in with...but they don't know what song it is!  LOL...so like our super tall thin friend is coming in to "will the real slim shady please stand up",.  They are all pretty funny!

Any insight or help with the music stuff?  We have a DJ so I guess I'm just thinking I'll leaving it up to him except for our father/daughter, first dance and mother son songs...

Happy planning!!

Katie

Our travel agent put something in our contract saying that we would be responsible for paying for unbooked rooms. My fiance asked her to change the contract so that we would not be responsbile for unbooked rooms, and she did!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
