Is anyone doing the Mariachi Trio?

Our friends were married at Dreams Tulum last summer and they had a Mariachi Trio. They were so awesome and fun, my fiance loved it and wants to add them! 

I'm not too sure WHEN to add them. We want them for the cocktail hour, but we will miss some of our cocktail hour due to pictures, right?Wwe want to be able to enjoy them.

Also, we chose to have our cocktail hour indoors (for the AC) at Desires and I think a Mariachi Trio would be too much indoors. They were perfect outside last year.

 

Any advice?

If our ceremony is on time and we get right to the pictures, we should be able to enjoy our cocktail hour, right?

We are having the Mariachi Trio in the cocktail hour.  I'm hoping we will be there for most of it!  I was wondering if some photos can be taken before the wedding.

We got bags from Wedding Chicks for all our guests!  They just arrived and are super cute!  I'm so happy I found them!

I purchased bags from Wedding Chicks for each guest and they just arrived last week!  They are super cute!  I'm so happy with them!  Instead of putting a lot of stuff in the bag, we are giving each guest a gift card for the resort, a card and itinerary and a box of popcorn from our favorite Chicago store.

We have recently booked our wedding for April 6, 2013.  Eva has just handed us over to Lorena as our coordinator.  We have booked the pool deck for our reception but I have not decided on the cocktail location yet.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  In the pictures there seems to be a higher wooden deck area adjacent to the pool deck, does anyone know what area that is?  We are planning on having about 50 guests.  Also, has anyone actually used the lounge furniture at their reception?  We were quoted $2000 for the white furniture and $600 for the brown.  I actually might prefer the look of the brown.  I'm curious what everyone else paid for it and how many pieces of furniture were included

Are you planning on blocking rooms for your guests at Dreams?  We had contacted a travel agent to help with a group rate and to block enough rooms for our guests, but I would like to know what everyone else is doing.  We have been told that 2013 prices haven't been released by the hotel yet, so they are blocking our rooms at 2012 prices (which is actually more since Easter fell on our date in 2012 and won't in 2013).  We received our agreement to block the rooms, but the hotel and our TA are both charging a cancellation fee for any rooms that aren't actually booked.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
