Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Hey Ladies,

What are you doing about photography? Are you using the resort photographers or bringing your own? I'm just beginning the planning process and I've quickly learned that the WC's are extremly busy and slow to respond so I'm so happy I found this forum. From what I've read so far, you all seem to be very informative and have great ideas.

When is your wedding?

I know I have a lot of time since our wedding isn't until December, but now I'm just worried that she's new and maybe isn't as experienced as the others?!

Eva confirmed our date, time and location yesterday so hopefully that's all under control!

For the ladies who haven't seen the resort yet, its absolutely beautiful!!

I am booked for September 10th, 2012. Super excited, but these WC could kill any-body's enthusiasm. I am live in NY and live by the "NY Minute". But I am not afraid to just pick a phone and call them. But by the looks of it, they all seemed competent. Right now, my issue is that I hate the centerpieces and bouquet options. I am trying to decipher should I take my own and how. I am also trying to hire an outside photographer and an outside DJ. I am crossing fingers that I win the battle.

Hey ladies. I just got back from Dreams last night. This place was amazing! I did not want to leave. We got lucky and had great weather on our Wedding day but I saw several weddings be put up and then taken down because of rain and wind. It only did that two days but every day the weather was different.

Make sure to go with The Preferred Club. Its the only way to go. I had Anel for pictures and the pictures were good but I think I was expecting them to blow my mind and they didnt so I was pretty disappointed. They have so many weddings everyday, I just felt rushed. As soon as we were done they were setting up for the next wedding. Other than those little things Dreams was the best place Ive ever been.

Congrats Amanda! Can't wait to see your pictures!!

Are you going to do a full review?  I get married in 69 days and I am still very nervous.  As AdventurePhotos & Anel are the resort photographers....I kind of feel obligated to use them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
