Hey Eyeball17 i dont think she's replacing Yamina (at least i hope not). I just heard from Yamina yesterday so. I've had Yamina assigned to me since January of last year... our wedding is about a month away now and im really hoping she'll still be around! I may be the first bride on this forum to have the same coordinator throughout the entire planning process haha!

Ok, that is good news!

Are you doing a legal or a symbolic ceremony?  We are planing on doing the symbolic ceremony.  Our travel agent wants to work on our room block and I told her we will arrive some time on 5/16/13 for a 5/18/13 wedding.  She is telling me that is not enough time and I need to get there at least on Wednesday.  I thought with a symbolic ceremony there were no requirements about how far in advance you needed to be there.  AH!  I have already told everyone to plan on traveling Thurs to Thurs.  Do you know if I need to be there earlier or if a Th arrival will be fine?

I was planning to have my ceremony at Seaside Grill but I spoke to Gina today and she told me they cant replace the furntiure and that only brown chairs can be used (the ones they normally use). I was under the impression that the chairs would be covered in white but she said policy changed and this is no longer the case... Just an FYI...

I spoke to Gina and she said you can choose other main course but if you do so you have to tell her in advance how many chickens, beef, fish you want along with a seating chart.. i guess you would have to ask your guests in advance. the sit down menu looks pretty bad, i revised it and mixed and matched but am still nervous. i am wondering if buffet is the way to go... still undecided and my wedding is less than month away!

Ok.....maybe they have more than one WC....because Yamina "introduced me to" Gina today as my new WC.

They make me crazy with all of the back and forth.  I was able to confirm the amount to reserve one of the restaurants for our reception.  As we are having a smaller party (about 25 guest) it is more affordable for us to host the reception in one of the restaurants as opposed to paying or a separate reception.  I think we are going with El Patio for the reception.  I asked today if it was availabale for my date....keeping fingers crossed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
