Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

I am having four guests but no children, so Im not sure about that part. I am getting the free wedding and Yamina the WC has made it real easy to plan something intimate and special.

Everyone seems to be planning big weddings here, and they are all gorgeous!!! Is anyone else planning or have done just the basics?   I am leaning more towards Dreams but they really cater to small children at Azul. I guess I'm a rare case, having had children before getting married lol.  Well I am loving looking at all the beautiful pictures. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this fourm and thread. My fiance and I are thinking about getting married at Dreams Cancun. Who is the wedding coordinator there and what is her email address? Also, has any brides  used an outside photographer? I see blogs online for photographers that have photographed weddings and TTD sessions at Dreams. I was thinking of using one of those people, and booking a room for the photographer for the night at Dreams to avoid the vendor charge. Have any other brides done this?

Yay congrats.. we are having a pretty big wedding, not really sure exactly how many people but we are expecting around 50 or so.... its hard to tell until the invitations go out and we get the responses, but we are doing the beach ceremony and pool deck reception :) I dont have any plans in place really yet except that I have been emailing Yamina back and forth about changing menu options ( none of them are too appealing to us.. but when we were at dreams we loved the food ) and with other questions. Aside from choosing the locations I havent done much else besides send out my save the dates... I plan to get working on it soon! How are your plans coming along ?

He is very prompt at responding to emails so I would say any questions you may have he should be able to help.  I did also see a review maybe about 10-15 pages back of a bride who just got married there and said not to worry at all since he was GREAT!

Yes, I meant Dreams Riveria Cancun. That is where we are planning our wedding. What photographer are people using and are they paying for the photographer to stay the night at the resort, or a fee for him to come onto the resort??

Hi Ladies,

What photographers have you used at Dreams Riveria Cancun? Did you go with the package photographer? or did you have a outside photographer come on site? If you used an outside photographer did you purchase a day pass for them, or a room for the night? Looking forward to hearing back from you all! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
