I would get a DJ.. i am inviting about 100 ppl to my wedding knowing most will not come but i think a DJ is good anyway because the peopl who do come are expecting to be dancing and partying ( i assume) im going with a DJ no matter what.. so thats my advice ;)

From my understanding if u are having it outside on the pool deck u have to do a buffet. By pool deck do u mean the deck infront of the main pool or jsut the grounds around the pool? Either way my coordinator told me it is buffet only! Im going with the deck becasue I dont mind the buffet.. i think its more relaxed and lets people choose when they want to eat

Maybe some of you can help me out with this because i have no idea what Gina is saying in her email to me because of her broken english! For selecting the menu she emailed me the silver and gold plates to choose from, so can i pick any soup and any salad from both lists? Also i know we have to tell her what entree each guests wants can they choose from all 8? or do i pick 2 different ones and they can only choose from the 2 i select? ahhhh im probably not explaining this correctly hopefully someone understands me and can help me out! I wish we could just do a buffet it would be way easier, but she told us u have to have at least 30 people to do that, and we only have 18. Thanks ladies!

I had the same question too.

I chose the Silver menu.  Then I asked Evangelina if we could pick and chose certain items from option 1 and option 2 (basically, if we could mix and match)...she said yes so we basically designed our menu from all the Silver options listed.  I also asked if we (my fiance and I) were to choose 2 entrees and have our guests order at the reception. She told us we were to pick one, which seems weird to me. We chose a fish as our main entree and my fiance suggested that we put a "nutritinal disclaimer" on our wedding site, letting our guests know that if they have allergies to fish or anything, they need to tell us.

If anyone else has any insight, i'd reallyl ike to hear what your menu plans are!

Thanks!

Kate

I have an aversion to mushrooms so we chose off the gold menu and mixed and matched.  I asked if it was allowed and Yamina said yes.  I ordered menu cards and everything off etsy so I hope that she doesn't go back on her word!

I divided up the flowers between my bridesmaids and they carried theirs on in a box in their luggage - My now husband carried mine on in his carry on and all the bouts and moms wrist corsages fit in a tiny box that I was able to stick in my suite case - they fluffed up perfect at the hotel with a little tweeking.  Don't stress to much over it as long as you have a little protection you are good to go.

I did my own hair and make up for the trash the dress, my hair was just scrunched and pinned up and I did my normal make up that day. + waterproof mascara and eyeliner ;)

So excited you changed your mind to do it.  Best thing we did! plus you are more calm and relaxed as you can tell from my photos

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
