So my fiance and I chose the Love package.  We have 2 options for dinner.  I know we have to pick one of 2 options. But, will our guests order at the table? or do we have to get their order when they RSVP then submit a list to the resort?

Also, if anyone has picked their menu options, do you know if the resort is flexible with the options? We want some options from Menu 1 and some options from Menu 2 if possible.

My understanding was that the sound system alone was 200$ or you could contract the DJ for 300$(which would include the sound system)???? Can anyone confirm this??? 500/hr for a DJ is ridiculous!

Just had an email back from Evangelina detailing that just to hire the sound system for an hour is $200. and for the DJ on top an extra $300.
So if our reception is 3 hours long the cost for music will be $1500?

The DJ is $900 for 3 hours....$300 an hour.  He brings his own sound equipment.

Sound equipment was $180 (which I used for the ceremony but had the DJ download the songs to use for it) Then, it was $300/hr for the DJ. If you use a sound system INSTEAD of the DJ it is cheaper. But then you have to hook your IPOD up or whatever you have and control it yourself pretty much. The packages include the first 20 people. Everyone after 20, is $15 pp plus tax and gratuity for 3 hours. Since we did 5 hours, we had to pay for everyone (total 40 ppl) $15 pp plus tax and grat for each hour and DJ too.

I still can not post on the classified. For some reason, I hit submit but it doesn't go through. SO frustrating! So if anyone is interested in ANYTHING I posted that I am selling, just PM me. I already sold the sashes, table runners, camera and most spanish for dummies.

But have still 12 spanish for dummies, 2 ft. rhinestone bouquet wrap, 36 frosted candle votives, VS BRIDE zip up hoodie size med, BRIDE robe, tiffany blue tissue paper, dark pink/fushia table number luminaries 1-6, "LOVE" luminaries, weekend survival labels (larege postcard size, 20ct), big clear fold and adhesive bags, tiffany blue flower little girl headbands (2 from Etsy), small mostly white seashells, starfish, flower clip (with tiny few blue beads), 4 LED tealights, 5 First aid kits, 13 first aid stickers "in sickness and in health", ivory satin vintage looking clutch, sign that says "Beach Wedding <-------- (shoes optional)" with wire stand, rod iron plate holder, 10 pkts of Tangerine Emergen C, 30 packets of individual Tylenol, letter "G" porcelin beach cake topper, 1lb. natural/beige/white sand (New).

You looked so beautiful!!!

I am just curious, with all of the wedding stuff you brought down, how many extra suitcases did that take?  I am really not interested in shipping and potentially losing things at customs.  Thanks!!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
