Glad im not the only one who did that cheesy.gif. I panic when i saw the $6392.80 on the receipt!  I emailed Evangelina straight away, i was relieved when she told me it was in pesos

Silly mistake on my part I guess, but figured I would share to spare someone else from the same misunderstanding.

Im going to purchase my dress online. Ive been trying on dresses in shops so i know what Style, Fabric and Colour i want.

www.goldwo.com are really good. They have sent me samples of the fabric they will be using and they will personalise a dress to how you want it

Thats part of the reason I wanted a destination wedding... If I had a wedding here in NY Id totally do it up, and not blink an eye on spend a grand on my dress (ok, maybe I would) .... But this is the beach, and its tropical... I just cant see spending sooo much money it.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Has anyone purchased their dress online?

Hello Robyn,

Welcome to the forum!!

In our personal experience, we would recommend you to have your ceremony start time be 1.5 hours prior to sunset.  This will give you great light for your ceremony, and even better sunset light for your beach portraits!! During this time of the year, our ceremonies typically begin between 5:30 - 6:00 PM.

Here are a few pictures of your location, hope you enjoy them:

Hi Mariah! Amazing photos, loved your colors. Question on the frame for the sand, did you bring that? If so where did you find a frame you were able to pour sand into? I am getting married there in 3 weeks and would love to do this! Congrats again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
