Lindsey,

I just found out why i couldnt quote you to talk to you...lol...i wasnt logged in haha was a newbie i am.

Anyway...i watched all your youtube clips!! and omg you are an angel for doing that!! I felt like i was there and you were asking what i wanted to know...especially about the chairs when you guys were standing at the Gazebo....I was thinking..."what about them wooden looking chairs!?" and then you asked it haha.

My fiancee and i are so grateful you did that cuz it really gives you a better feel of the property.  I am now just starting to get excited...i have been plagued with stress since Jan 1st...when i realized it was now 2012 lol....and then after a month of stress i realized how stupid it is to stress so hard...theres no point in planning for your goal if you arent going to enjoy the ride and remember to have fun.

Your clips put alot of nerves to rest honestly.  Thank you so so much.

We went down and video taped our tour.  If you missed it, check it out here:

Another question:

Anyone have ideas for DIY centerpieces?

I want to bring all the components for centerpieces with me but I don't want to bring any glass in my carry-on......i'm thinking acrylic vases? but i want floating candles in them and i'm afraid that is not safe.

what is everyone else working on that does not include glass?

You're so welcome!!  That's exactly why we did it!  We wanted to help other couples out since we were so fortunate to be able to see it.  I love the white garden chairs!  I told her I had no interest the banquet chairs!  I decided on a destination wedding because I am naturally a stressed out person, lol.  I didn't want to stress over a big crazy at home wedding.  I feel like July can't come fast enough!!!

Thanks! I will have to look into that site.  Is the $3.99 with your logo included?  My fiance found them on ebay and has talked to the guy but we haven't ordered them yet.  We are going to put our own logo stickers on it but I know the company on ebay does imprinting also and it might be cheaper than $3.99.  Here it is if anyone wants to check them out.

The best pricing I have found for a small quantity is from DiscountMugs.com (http://www.discountmugs.com/nc/sports-bottles/2816/16-oz-double-wall-acrylic-tumbler-with-straw.htm). They have several styles and colors, and I think that $3.99 a piece is reasonable for what it is, but that would be too spendy if we had more guests (we only need 25.) We're also ordering coozies, those are only a buck a piece. I haven't found cheaper, please share if you know of a better deal somewhere online! I tried to go through a local printer too but that was going to be much more expensive, since our quantity was so low. Where else have other brides found good "promo" items for their big day?

Thank you! I will definitely look into that.  They look so great and are probably a lot cheaper!

These are them and when I got them in person I was even more thrilled!  Some of them even feel real.

One thing I don't like though, is someone in the shop smokes...so they had a faint cigarette smell when I got them.  It is gone now because I am keeping them in vases in their case with candles to freshen the sent.  I think the smell will fully disappear before the wedding if it hasn't already.  And I am thrilled with my flowers so I am satisfied!

I will say they resort quoted me an outrageous price for orchids too and I really wanted a tropical feel.  I am happy with me decision.

Hey!  I am getting married at DRC in 25 days! My parents own a party light website!

www.oogalights.com we sell tons of battery operated lights that can also go underwater.  I am actually bringing my own paper lanterns down and using their cords.

I am in the office M-F 8:30-5pm central  I can give you ladies and gents some discounts!

Good luck -

Kate

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
