Hi,

If you are trying to reply off of one particular message, click "quote" under the message you want to reply under instead of "reply." Then, the original message will show below your comment! ;)

Does anyone know why my replies aren't attached to the message I am replying to? The reply appears at the end of the page...and of course then doesn't make any sense as no one knows what I am responding to...:0(

Okay also I wanted to let you know you have another options for OOT bags.  I talked to Gina and she gave me concierge information which I then contacted.  When I get down there I am going to purchase $15-$20 gift certificates to be used in the gift shop.  Then have a note with the gift card delievered to the rooms. (http://pinterest.com/pin/276760339570317584/) That way if someone forgot something and or wanted to purchase a gift to take with them they can do that.  I have 30 rooms to pack for after I totaled everything up and just seems like so much to lug down there.

Just a thought for some of you, since that option is available.  They said they would just charge your credit card for the full amount and divide up the cards/certificates.

Congratulations!! I agree that you should definatly be compensated, it is a special day and if you were led to believe you were receiving one thing but turns out you weren't, it is very stressful. I have the same worries that I told them what I wanted but once I get down there, they will say no sorry not available. For the ceremony I thought I saw a steel drum option? Well I know they have other things like a saxaphone if that is your style? I am just going to have them play something from my Ipod because I have a specifc song I want to walk down to. There is a forum started with what everyone is choosing for their songs, you should check that out.

We picked our wedding date because we wanted to be married around sunset and have our reception on the pool deck below the infinity pool. Last week i got a email saying that the deck is already booked so we will have to do the beach. I would switch our wedding date but our guests have been booking since November and not worth the hassle of moving things around. What would you guys do if you were in my position? I feel like the resort should in some way compensate us for the misunderstanding?

Anyways another thing that I'm not sure on is how the beach ceremony works? I was thinking about doing live music like steel drummer but that's not on the list for live music options. What is everyone else doing?

I haven't actually seen a picture of these cups everyone talks about, but they must be pretty cool if your FI is bent on them. My FI has absolutly no opinion, his opinion is "whatever makes you happy babe, I just want you to be happy" its nice, but sometimes an opinion would be much appreciated. We bought his outfit today, custom tailored tan vest and pant option, and it only cost $225. We still have to get the shoes, shirt, and tie but its a good start.Ya only 3 months its creeping up so fast, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!!!

It is starting to freak me out!

Wow we really are! I feel the same way about white looking either great or cheap.  I will probably do a welcome cocktail hour also because that just sounds much easier.  Is your wedding dress white or ivory.  My dress is light ivory but looks white when you take a picture of it.  So I don't know if I should match the linen suit to my dress or if his suit is white would it matter.  If anyone else knows this answer or has an opinion please let me know!

Haha my fiance also wants those cups crazy bad and wants to wear a white linen suit (which im hoping wont look cheap.. i feel like the all white can go either way). We have just under 100 people booked and were doing a "welcome cocktail hour" at the lobby bar. Were just going to tell people to meet there at like 8pm the night before the wedding. This way we can have a welcome dinner/party without the added expense. A few past brides have done this and it seemed to work out great for them. Just a thought I wanted to share.

My dress is a true ivory, some time soon (hopefully this weekend) im going to take photos of my fiances white linen sport jacket next to my dress to see if the white linen makes my dress look yellow. This is a concern of mine too! Id be happy to share the photos with you once ive taken them!

Hey guys! So I am in the process of ordering my chair sashes online. Is the standard size 6" wide by 106" long? That was the size it showed for the ones I was going to order and I didn't want to order them until I knew if that size was correct?

Also, are you guys using table runners or table overlays--I am thinking of using the table runners...what do you think?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
