Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

So I didn't know you couldn't use reguler rose petals there because I saw on their a la carte decorations list" a bag of rose" as one of the extras you could purchase so I assumedit was acceptable and you could just get those for the aisle. Ill have to ask that. Also, Dovi- you have to contact the photographer on your own. I had to ask Yamina the same thing and she gave me their email. Is anyone else worried about the possibilty of the bottles of goodies your bringing down for the OOT bags exploading or leaking from the flight ?? For example like travel size sunscreens/ aloe/lotion...I have them all in a goodies bag and I would hate for something to leak and ruin everything else in the Clear bags.

Dovi - yeah I had found Anels email address on a thread here a while back and thats how I found out about contacting a photographer - she is costing 1499 for full day and trash the dress another day.

Depending on how many lanterns you want I can bring them down for you or ship them to you and u can bring them down - I can offer them at $4-7 per lantern for you.

I am on that wooden pool deck by the infinity pool and sand.

66 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!

Just did a count of my guests and we are over 60 people so far.  Crazy so I am not doing OOT bags, we did nicer favors for the guests instead.  www.wholesalepashminascarves.com for the ladies and nice but funny mustache luggage tags for the guys.  It was just getting out of hand with how many things to bring down.

If I decide to make a little care bundle

lip balm, sunscreen, and other little things

where are you brides purchasing from?  are you finding a place that offers bulk?

Just gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOO pricey with these oot bags

Hi all!! I am recently engaged and am highly considering the Dreams Riviera Cancun as our wedding location.

I have a couple of questions I wanted to see if any of you could help me with!

We have a travel agent and she is having a hard time getting in touch with the wedding coordinators there so I thought I would direct my questions here and hopefully get a faster response! :)

I really want to have a private reception on one of the decks.

Does the per person amount for the buffet and open bar include everything? Tables, chairs, basic linens, etc?

I know any thing special (colored linens, flowers, decorations) won't be included, but just want to make sure there isn't other hidden fees in there for renting the actual space.

Thanks in advance for any help y'all can give me!!

Hello all!  I officially booked my wedding at DRC and wanted to ask a couple questions.

I am planning a group of around 40... I wanted to opt out of a sit down dinner and just have a few hours of cocktails, appetizers, and music.  I was going to get the Ultimate package and see if I could trade in the dinner for a longer cocktail hour.  Has any bride done this?

Also, how can you get images of the flowers they offer.  I am having a hard time picking colors for invitations etc. without seeing any options!!

Any information would be very helpful!!  I feel very lost in this whole experience.

Thanks!!

Email at Kmarchewka85@gmail.com and I can forward you all the options.

Have you thought about a buffet style dinner? They offer it at 40+ guests... gives more options.

The Fantasy Island includes 40 Tiffany chairs, 4 tablecloths, 4 high centerpieces (roses), light up dance floor, and 5 cold fireworks. It is located over the kids pool at the resort. There is enough space for 4 tables, a buffet, an area for the DJ, and a dance floor. There is an extra cost of $2,500 for this set-up.

The WC offered this option to me after letting me know the pool deck that I originally requested was already reserved. Mind you she responded to my request for the pool deck 2 months later.... -__-

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
