Of course no problems at all! Is this the price list for all the extras or the price list for the packages?

Our main concern is finding out if the 2012 pricing is available.  As we hear from our wedding coordinator, they dont know the 2012 pricing yet.  However, we would like to get an estimate way in advance so that we dont come across any surprises as the day approaches.  Can you ask Yamina when will the 2012 pricing be available.

Thanks in advance!

Well i know the ultimate package will be $2999 for 2012 weddings.  What I need to know is the pricing for all the extras.  Thank you so much.

Hi Sarcrook!

Thank you!  We had such an amazing time and everything went so smoothly, I was actually shocked!  I guess everyone expects atleast one thing to go wrong, but nothing did!

Our reception started at 6pm, actually probably closer to 6:30 really (we were married at 4pm) and all of our head table was in their seats before we were announced.  At that point, once we came in and took our seats, our MC introduced us obviously first, and then our wedding party....so as you see in the slideshow, everyone stood up as they were introduced and the MC said a little bit about each person and their significance in our lives.  It made for nice photos as everyone got their own little moment.  I also didn't have to worry about songs for all the bridal party as they entered...this way people could actually hear what the MC was saying about our wedding party.

We did extend our reception for one hour until 10 o'clock...I didn't feel 9 would be long enough so the one hour was perfect and after that we went to the disco but my hubby and I honestly only stayed there for one shooter with our guests and then retired to bed...we were really pooped after everything.

Your Slide Show was amazing!!

Can you tell me how you did your reception?  We are having a hard time figuring out what to do!?  How many hours did you do?  If you did more than three did you pay for the extra bar?  We were thinking of extending the music but not paying for the bar..thinking somebody could go up to one of the bars at the resort and get a bunch of drinks!?

It looks like in your slideshow you had your Wedding Party introduced but right at their seat?!  Is that right?

What did you do for the DJ option?  We are thinking of just doing the Technician to save money..any thoughts?!

Thanks SO much...your help is appreciated!!

Does anyone have the menu choices available for DRC?  I looked through this forum and I didn't see any posts for it.  My FI and I are debating between this resort and one other and we want to see want the menu choices look like for dinner, the floral packages, etc.  If you could PM me or email me at alybarter@gmail.com I would really appreciate it!  Thanks!

Yes we had the DJ for 4 hours, I think it was $1200, we didn't have a dancefloor (honestly didn't need it) and we had Paul as our DJ...I don't remember the company he worked for but it was the other option that wasn't DJ Mauricio Neri,  I'd heard too many bad things about him in the beginning that I wasn't sure about using him so I opted for the other option....Paul did a great job with the songs and played songs that were current, upbeat and kept my guests dancing...I had a friend from home MC so he had the wireless mic all night and worked with the DJ for what he needed as well.  The day before the wedding I met Paul in the office at 4pm and went over some of the songs I wanted played but I actually only asked for three songs specifically and otherwise just advised him on genres and whatnot...

Hi All!!

Some of you requested photos of my flowers from Etsy seller AlexisGraceDesigns.  The reason I decided to use real touch flowers instead of the resort florist is because of the cost.  I knew what flowers I wanted and the quote they gave me was outrageous!  $300 for my bouquet and $200 for the bridesmaids.  I felt I could do better.  I really liked working with Kim [the designer] because she kept in touch every step of the way and the bouquets all go together!   If I were going to use the resort flowers, it would've cost me $700 for flowers I didn't really love.  Kim gave me flowers I really love, a forever keepsake, and saved me over $300!!  I have some photos here to show you.  I think that in pictures you cannot even tell they are real touch flowers and not real flowers.  The roses and hydrangea feel SO REAL to the touch.  So do some of the orchids but some other orchids and the calla lilies are silk.  Nevertheless, I am SO PLEASED with this purchase and would definitely use her again!

All of the bouquets: Mine, three bridesmaids, maid of honors, and a toss bouquet.  They came in the bin but they were laying down.  I bought $1.00 vases to stand them in until we leave.

My bouquet from the top.  Starfish are part of our theme, so my bouquet is adorned with little glass starfish.

Maid of honor bouquet - kind of like a mini of mine:

Boutonnieres and Corsages from left: groom's father, grooms mother, groom, groomsman - there are more but I just chose these as examples.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
