I never even noticed the post. I don't think I have noticed any other girls with that same weekend so we are the only two soo far. I'm hoping that she knows not to plan too many on that Saturday with me as our group is very large. Which WC do you have???

Not sure about the guest count yet. We have 2 more weddings in the family so are waiting to see how they tackle their lists before we finalize our budget and based on that, our invite list. I'll have a better idea in November when the 1st wedding is taking place and the other couple is sending out their invitations. Based on research online and destination wedding planners I've talked to, it seems that destination guests expectancy % is anything from 20%-40% of invited list so regardless of how many people either of us invites, the resort should more than easily be able to accommodate all of our guests. The only tricky thing is if there are any other weddings that weekend but considering we've been planning ours for a little longer, I'm hoping it'll give us a leg up. Do you know if there are any other weddings booked for our weekend yet?

Hello ladies, well as some of you may know I had posted last week that I had to push back my wedding (6/24/12) due to my newborn (any day now) and financials.  BUT turns out that the in laws have offered to pay for the entire wedding under ONE CONDITION. that it be held at a different island since Mexico is not safe and continues to be a threat to all tourists in my mother in laws own words.  Well since hubby and I are not paying we agreed.  So I am now booked for the same day at The Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Punta Cana, DR.  Absolutely breathtaking.  I stayed at this resort 2 years ago before Hard Rock bought it last year.  I do plan on doing a site inspection soon.  I still love this DRC forum and will continue to post and look forward to all of your pics and reviews.  Ladies, having stayed at DRC 2x before, no worries this resort is absolutely BREATHTAKING.

Let the wedding planning begging all over. lol

Huh. I just asked Yamina about any extra costs for using rectangular instead of round tables and was told there was no additional cost...

"Regarding the square tables, we have rectangular tables only and, there is no extra charge to use them."

Now im trying to find a picture of them or something.. haha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
