Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

I think it's just the resort photographer and your coordinator will do that.  All I did was tell Yamina I want Anel at Adventure Photos for the full day for $999.  She confirmed it.  :)  I'm told you meet with them when you get there.

Thanks!!!  That's all my sister in law right there.  We knew we wanted a post card but she's amazing!  She's doing our invites too!

NO WAY!  That's so late.  I'm sending the STDs now...which is 11 months.  Invites by January 15th.  Wedding is July 20th.  I think 6 months for invitations!

Speaking of invitations, I have read that the etiquette for destination weddings is to send the save the dates about 6 months ahead of your wedding (I sent mine out a year and a half early to give plenty of notice) and invitations 2 months... I just don't see that being enough time for the people who wait til the last minute to decide if they are going to come or not, or enough notice for my fiance and I to have the final guest list.

When do you all plan to send out invitations?

I want to say we paid around $370 each, including taxes.

The time really does fly by, especially once you get to the year of your wedding. It will be here before you know it!

I've spoken with Anel from Adventure quite a few times through email. [email protected] is the one she uses.

I think we are getting the $1499 package to do the TTD session as well. I can't decide, but right now that's what we are booked for.

Ok, I thought that was ridiculous but just wanted to make sure!  I was thinking sending ours around April or May for a November wedding.

Our wedding is September 1st, 2012. So far we think there will be a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 130. I just don't know how great they will be at accomodating such a large group or if we'll all fit in certain areas. Fingers crossed it all works out

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
