I'm at 4:00 and my hair and makeup start at 12:30 I think so maybe 1 or 2 would be good.  Email the spa and let them know what time your ceremony is and they'll know how much time they'll need, Bring a photo of what you want done and they should be able to replicate it.

Can someone fill me in on this part. We want to start making payments on the stuff we want for our wedding, i.e. DJ, decorations, food.....do we pay the resort when we get there or just start sending money. The lack in response worries me and I don't want my hard earned coins just floating around and no one tracks it. I thought maybe I paid through the travel agent but I didn't ask her yet.

Since Edgar from AVI could no longer book DJ Julian Molina, we have now been assigned Edgar's partner, Rodrigo Barcelo.  That's a name I haven't come across yet.  Have any of the previous brides had any experience with him?  I'm trying to just go with the flow but it's hard when you haven't heard good or bad reviews.  Thanks everyone!

I have a question for everyone....As far as registry goes we didnt really want to do a traditional registry because we already bought a house together last year and pretty much have everything we need. We would LOVE if we can do a registry to where it pretty much just pays for our honeymoon (i.e. the hotel and excursions). Has anyone done this before and/or know a website or something that we could do something like that on??

THanks

Hey there, my wedding is also at 530pm and Veronica wanted to schedule my spa appointment for hair and makeup for me. She decided 230pm was best, which supposedly will have me finished up around 430pm, then I can go back to the room and get my clothes on and hopefully be done and ready to go by 515 or so. I think 45 for throwing on my dress and flip flops is more than enough time. Here is hoping. :)

I also have pictures of a hair trial I did to show the spa person so they can replicate.

Hope that helps. I would email the wedding coordinator you are working with, it seemed like Veronica wanted to make the appt for me rather than me doing it on my own.

There is a website called Honeyfund.com and I believe you can register for a Honeymoon and your guests can contribute to it.

I know we are experiencing the same thing.  I don't want gifts but don't want to be too forward either.  I was reading blogs and a lot of ppl say it's tacky to put who you registered with along with y our invitations.  What we did is we set up a website at MyWeddings.com and had all the registry info in there.  I know most of our asian guests will give cash or checks but for the other guests, we set up a registry at Bed Bath and Beyond.  My sister mentioned that it's extremely easy to return stuff at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Hope this answers your question.

My ceremony is at 4:00 and I had Veronica set our appt at 11am.  The reason I am doing it so early is just in case I am not happy with the results then my sister can help me redo my hair and makeup.

Also gives us time to relax and have some champagne with the bridesmaid:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
