Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Hi,

Can you all provide your opinion on best spots to have the reception at DRC?

I would, if possible, like a space/area where the dance floor could be in the middle of all of the table. We also don't really want to actually be on the sand!

TIA for your assistance!!

It is me again :)

Below are the three types of rooms that we are considering to have within our room block. Does anyone have any experience/pictures of these rooms? I just came from the DRC website and the pics of the rooms look great but would like to have examples of each type of room if possible.

Is the Plunge Pool worth it?

Thanks!

Your bridesmaids dresses are adorable.  I went to that designer's website and there is some great stuff.  I really like the ring you chose too.  Your girls will be excited.  If it's not too expensive I would try and find a bracelet.  If not, I think the ring and earrings will be fine.  Best wishes!

Hello,

My wedding was feb 15th 2011 and I cannot stress to you all how perfect it was. I went for the ultimate package and I am so happy I did! The wedding video is amazing and the people back home have really appreciated watching this! The day flowed perfectly!!

I brought in Gonzalo Nunez and he was absolutely amazing!! We had a trash the dress session two days after the wedding and I have seen a couple of the pics and they are beautiful a work of art he is so much better than Del Sol photography and his price for the package was reasonable!!

I was worried leading up to the wedding on how it would turn out, but they have weddings down pat and go out of there way to make it perfect in every way. So ladies please do not stress it is not worth it.

Was there anything to do in that area of the resort because from the pics it looks like it's in the middle of nothing.  I just can't decide between Dreams Cancun and Dreams Riviera Cancun?  I love both and they both have some pros and cons.  I need to hurry up and pick so any advice would help out, thanks

HELPPPP!!!  AZUL BEACH vs. DREAMS RIVIERA CANCUN

I'm set to get married next May 2012 and have been stuck on which resort to choose. My travel agent seems to know a lot about whichever we want but doesn't have a lot of advice to help us make a decision. We have narrowed it down to Azul Beach and Dreams Riviera but can't decide which one should be THE ONE. Can someone please point me in the right direction? She was really trying to sell us on Azul Sensotori and initially when we contacted her, that's where we were thinking until some relatives dropped other names of other resorts, that's when it got complicated.  Thank you! How I'm feeling trying to figure this out --->hissyfit.gif

Hello! I am new to this and I am visiting Dreams Riviera Cancun this June to see if i love it enought to book my wedding there for June 2012. I have a few questions I want to ask the resort, but I cant find a contact number or e-mail because both of them on the site do not work. Does anyone know how to contact the resort directly ? Also my main questions are how far is it from Cancun night-life  and Playa Del Carmen night- life... Also a lot of the reviews say there is nothing to do there at night but I will have a lot of young singles at my wedding and I don't want them to be BORED! If anyone has this information or has experienced this hotel please get back to me! Thank you - Emily

I fell in love with this dress too, lol. I first saw it in my Knot magazine (Spring 2011) a few weeks ago and ran to the computer to look up Liz Fields. I'm thinking of ordering it for my bridesmaids too as their gifts, but one of them is pregnant right now. She's due in April, so I'll have to wait a little while to order them (my wedding's in Dec). They say you should order them all together so they're from the same dye lot. Sooo..they better NOT get discontinued, lol.

Love the ring, btw!

Hey Girls, we leave in 7 weeks!!!! YEAH!!!

I had my first phone conference with Lisabeth my WC and she was great...really put me in a very relaxed mood. I feel she will be there for everything. I know everyone is worried about DJ & Audio Tech, so I have come to the conclusion that I am just gonna make sure I bring my music very prepared so they can't mess it up.

@Medina; is there anyway you can email me the price list for Gonzalo Nunez; [email protected]

Also, does anyone know if there is a shuttle service that the hotel provides (free or not free) to play del carmen? So that my guests can go into town if they wanted to go shopping or something?

And, for my newlyweds...how did the bridal suite work out...I have my appt for 11am (my wedding starts at 4) and all of my girls want to also get there hair and nails done too...is there gonna be enough room for all of us (were talking 13 females) are some of them better off just going to the regular salon or do you think it will be enough time and room? I just really wanted to be around my friends and family while I get ready.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
