SharonMydung...I did find a thread on here with some picks from DJ Julian Molina..if you search him you'll find it.  He actually looks very similar to Ivan from Doremixx!  I've contacted DJ Mannia and I think they might be a lot higher than the $650 for five hours..that is a GREAT price!!  Are you gonna do the 5 hours?  That seems a lot - we were thinking 4.. --

Let me know what he says about the light up dance floor - and of course please share your pics!!

Sarcrook,

He told me 650 for 5 hours or less and 650 for the light up dance floor.  I am seeing if I can get a better deal on the dance floor, it just seems so expensive for a dance floor lol.  He is including all the party favors if I get the dance floor along with the package. I am still comtemplating on it, are you going to get the light up dance floor?

We're doing our ceremony at 5:30pm.  We figure it will take about 30 minutes ( to 6pm) then pictures for an hour (to 7pm) and have our reception start at 7pm. Between the ceremony and reception we'll send our guest to one of the bars.

We worked this out by working backwards from sunset, which will be at around 7:13pm on May 3, 2011 according to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923&month=5&year=2011&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1  We really wanted to have the pictures taken on the beach while the sun is starting to set.

Hope that's helpful!

I started working on a review but it has been crazy with the aftermath of the wedding and catching up on work that I haven't finished it yet. I do promise to post one.

Above is a link to our photo slideshow from our 1/15/11 wedding and TTD session. We hired Anel from Adventure Photographers and bought the unlimited package. She did an amazing job, and is truly a pleasure to work with. I am really pleased with how they turned out, and am so glad we decided to use her rather than hire an outside vendor and pay 5 times as much. Really recommend working with her!!!!

We also had DJ Doremixx who brought the balloons, cold fireworks, and masks to the reception party. It was an amazing time!

I will be selling my chair sashes (60) and table runners (8) if anyone is interested....please PM me. My new hubby is dying for me turn to our "wedding headquarters" back into an office!

I want the dance floor FOR SURE!!!  $650 Does seem like a lot - I love the idea of the party favors!!  I do believe that is cheaper than DJ Mannia - and I like the looks of DJ Julian and DJ Mannia better than the resort DJ.  That is something I would pay for - the music/dancing...is 100% what you and your guests will remember - they don't remember what the flowers look like - but they sure remember the music!!!!  I believe in spending on that part of the party!!!  Hands down!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
