LOVES it too! I think that it will look beautiful on solid colored chairs regardless of whether you go with pink or any color :-)

I will give a full review when I return but I just wanted to let you know that I am having the most amazing time! We've been here two full days and have had nothing but compliments from our guest and amazing service! They have fulfilled everything they promised and even upgraded us to the Master Suite (which is amazing more than words!). My groom is tucked away in his personal room for the night and I am so excited for the morning to get here! It's going to be an amazing day rain or shine and I promise that each of you made the RIGHT choice chosing dreams. :) We are only doing the free wedding package and they have treated us like kings and queens. I am blown away and me and my guest are already planning our return trip next year!!! Ok girls...jumping off here to catch some zzz's before the big day! I will have a full review when I return!

Goodnight,

The Soon To Be MRS! :)

The deck area is definitely more private, but after about 7pm there is not much going on in the pool area either, unless the seaside restaurant is open that night (it is located pool side).  I used CD's, but they really seemed to prefer an ipod, and yes the speakers on their sound system are very loud.

WE had the single layer cake with vanilla filling and white icing and roses on top.  It was very simple but the cake was delicious, the best desert we had all week, and the icing was simple but it was nice.

So I was thinking roses of various kinds on top and just a two layer cake with some piping to keep it simple - roses on top look fine right?

getting married at Secrets Maroma ( I fell in love with the Maroma Beach) but all resorts on that bit of stretch are adults only, this way we are doing just shy of 1 week at Dreams Riviera Cancun and just over 1 week at Secrets Maroma. Our reception is back at Dreams. Its expensive and was a big headech to do it this way - wouldnt recommend.

I didn't give them any preference for the cake besides the tres leches flavor.  It was delicious and the cake was simple and pretty.  Here's the best picture I have of it.  I have heard that they're pretty good at replicating pictures of cakes that you show them though.  You can see the lanterns above the buffet in the background too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
