Here's some more info on the budget breakdown.

Dreams Of Love Package: $2060.00

20 Extra Guests at Reception: $48.00+15% service charge+10% tax   =$1214.40

Ceremony Music: $180.00

Reception Music: $180.00 X 3=$540

Bridesmaids Bouquets: $45.00 X 3 Bridesmaids=$135.00

Rehearsal Dinner: $100.00

TOTAL: $4229.40

Substituted Cocktail Hour towards Extra Dinner Guests: $26.00 X 20=$520.00 credit

FINAL TOTAL: $3709.40

We had already paid the $500 deposit for the Dreams of Love package before we got there and they charged the rest of it to our room so we could pay it anytime during our stay.  It was very convenient and we paid quite a bit less than I originally thought we would.

Hey Everyone! Getting married at Dreams Cancun Feb 13th, 2011. I'm so excited. Anyone know where I can buy white chocolate seashells for my wedding cake. I ordered cake 03 without the ribbon and I'm just going to add the chocolate seashells and starfish. I'm also going to add white sugar at the bottom. shell wedding cake.jpg

I used EW Cancun for the ceremony decor and they required a deposit when I booked them.  They have a U.S. partner in New York that I was able to send a check to and I paid the rest of it a few weeks before the wedding the same way.

We used Playa Weddings for photography and they actually had paypal so I paid a deposit when I booked them through my credit card on paypal and the rest of it the same way a few weeks before the wedding.

Both of these places would take the balance up to the day of the wedding but I wanted to have those things paid for before we got down there.  You can probably ask them ahead of time what they accept for payment too.  Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
