Hello! I am getting married June 2011 at Dreams RC. I am clueless about this process and would apprieciate any advice! Where do I start besides contacting the hotel to reserve my date?! And who is the coordinator for weddings? OH and should i use a TA or not? I started with a TA but she made it confusing and overwhelming so its just me and my fiance now...help! :D Much Love- Ashlee

I am about to use Zuniga Production and Planner1 - there are lots of vendors out there with access to additional decor than what your hotel would have - I would pass by the resort thought who you are using and just get their nod of approval as a just in case

Are any of you planning on shipping items down. I researched it and its about $134 thru fedex....I'm assuming that if you used the or UPS you would be ok because they are door to door. I really dont want to spread out items to other family to pack it seems like a big hassel.....What are you guys planning? I was just gonna do 1 box.

Hey Ladies.  I'm not sure how many people actually participated in the webinar, but we did learn a lot of useful information from it.  One of the items you will probably be most interested in, is that Gabriela said that they are in the process of assigning a particular wedding coordinator to each bride.  She said that they were hoping to do it this weekend, so hopefully we will be getting that information soon, and will start hearing back with more frequency.  :)

Hey Ashlee,

Welcome! You need to email weddings.drerc@dreamsresorts.com there are 3 coordinators at dreams after booking you should be assigned one. You should sort your date/wedding and reception locations with Ana ( there are pictures of all the choices on this thread) I find getting responses from the wedding coordinator much easier if I go via a TA. x

I wouldnt ship items down.. Deco cancun which is zuniga works directly with the hotel. They add the additional costs to ur hotel bill which is nice. Prices are great. There is no extra charge for using their services. Contact anita at decocancun. She is great. I am actually using them as well for the chair ties...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
